From the top of the Lyon Steps, walk east on Broadway and check out some of the most expensive real estate in SF. Head to Fillmore Street and walk south on Fillmore to check out the Fillmore District
At the intersection of Broadway and Fillmore is an amazing view of the North Bay, including the Golden Gate Bridge. The stairs down lead you to the Marina District via one of the steepest hills in SF
Pac Heights neighborhood park with great views of the city and North Bay. Great spot for a picnic -- just grab some food from one of the many restaurants on Fillmore St or Mollie Stone's Grocery

The plaza isn't impressive but gets you to the heart of Japantown. Check out Nijiya Supermarket for a good value on fresh sushi. Or visit one of the many ramen shops - Hinodeya is my favorite.
From "Dragon's Gate," walk north on Grant up to Broadway through the heart of Chinatown. Check out Good Mong Kok for dim sum take-out, Chong Qing for delicious noodles, or the famous R&G Lounge
Filled with cool shops and restaurants. If you have a few hours, take a ferry over to Sausalito and grab lunch by the water.
