The airportstaff at terminal2 didn't allow me to return a bottle of Shirazwine that I purchased earlier at the free shop. They actually confiscated the bottle and receipt! That cost me 225 AED.So mad.
If you looking a calm place to sleep lead to gates 141-143. There is a room covered by carpet and many electronic plugs. You can relax on the floor spent you time in internet.
I landed & departed from Terminal 1. It's big, old, very busy. There are always constructions & rennovations. Frankly I didn't like Terminal 1. But internet is free of charge :))
The worst! Too crowded. You cannot find a decent place to sit at any cafe or in the waiting areas! Even to go to the toilet, I had to wait an hour until I got on the plane, due to too long lane to WCs
Free wifi for a short period.Terminal 3 has restaurants,if you want find out more on T2 which has done more options.Limited charging stations for your devices.Good architecture.
Everyone says that here wi-fi is free, maxspot is a free wi-fi, unfortunately i never got it to work on my galaxy note 2 and had to use the wi-fi at the Heinekenlounge
Bypass the ginormous "passport control" lines by with an "e-gate" card, which you get at the e-gate office in T1, 2nd floor. Take 15 mins. Non-UAE OK. 200 AED. Open 24h?
It's big, it's modern and it's mindblowingly slow... Pasaport control takes decades just like check-in... Doesn't matter if it's midnight or afternoon, you will be stuck for hours.
When waiting in line for a taxi, insist on using regular taxis. Sometimes the coordinator might direct to use more expensive options (limousine or pink taxis). Refuse if you don't want to pay extra.
If you're lucky enough to be traveling First Class on Emirates, prepare yourself to be amazed by the First ClassLounge at Terminal 3 (and disappointed by every other airport lounge in the world).
Do not rent a car prior your visit if you are landing on Terminal 2. Almost all car rental companies are located in Terminal 1. It costs 40 AED from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 by cab.
