- Lauren FitzgeraldJune 13, 2016Paella is just amazing but every single item is exceptional. Don't judge a book by its cover, from the outside it may not be your first choice, but I think it may be the best restaurant in Newark.
- Maia WailanaOctober 2, 2016for appetizer get the garlic shrimps, mussels and chorizo. for dinner the grilled prawns, seafood cioppino, don't skimp -Fornos of Spain a gem with fabulous service and exceptionally delicious food!!Upvoted Sep 15
- Absolutely phenomenal! Their skirt steak is to dye for. Remember, all dishes here come with complimentary salad, rice, and veggies. Come prepared to eat.
- David DErricoOctober 6, 2022Andres and Fernando were excellent at Fornos in Newark. I had the paella seafood paella it was one of the best I’ve ever had excellent tender in the owners maître d’ and staff were excellent as well
- TingOctober 31, 2015Haven't been here in years and it's still as delicious as I remember. HUGE portions. Grilled octopus and Paella Valenciana are my staples but equally look forward to the bread and potato sides.
- The vegetarian paella was good!. For birthdays you can reserve the spot under the disco ball. Many multi generational families. A great spot for a family celebration.
- Billy RobisonJune 14, 2012Red sangria is great, as is garlic shrimp. Octopus is tender and delicious. Portions are freaking huge. Try the paella! And the service is great.
- Akilah AkridgeMay 8, 2016Excellent service and food! Had the shrimp in champagne sauce. Couldn't even finish it! Delightful
- Janna Talbert LeheNovember 2, 2016The duck with pear is perfection. The tres leches cake was also heavenly. Too much food!
- Gt Copper StethMay 7, 2013Love love love the grilled Chilean Seabass with garlic sauce.....make sure you come HUNGRY, large portions. Well worth the cost!!!!
- Veronica MillarNovember 5, 2011The Sangria is amazing! I had the Veal Tenderloins with peppers, mushrooms, & sausage and it was great! Definitely recommend this place, especially for a B'day celebration!!!!
- Jodi LuminielloAugust 26, 2012If you haven't tried this place, you MUST! The red sangria, garlic shrimp & the monk fish are just some of my favs!
- Maritza SpitlerNovember 4, 2015Sangria, paella al Diablo, octopus, as well as their service fails to deliver. Nice restaurant though.
- Order a martini. For $10.50 you get TWO-one in the glass and one in a small carafe on ice. You can't beat it!!
- TV Food MapsDecember 16, 2015Check out Fornos of Spain as it was featured on Pizza Cuz / Pizza Masters for authentic Seafood Paella and Codfish Croquettes Read more
- Do yourself a favor a get the red sangria. It'll probably be the best sangria that you've had outside of Spain.
- Richard RevillaMay 9, 2015Portions are extreme skip the appetizers or leave room in the fridge. Plenty of staff to keep the service level high.
- Gabriel HayesNovember 29, 2014The Spanish coffee is a must try. Beet coffee cocktail I have ever had
- Brian RudowskiDecember 24, 2016Chicken Francais is EXTREMELY salty!! Food is overpriced, service so-so. Try one of the other Portuguese restaurants in Iron Bound. Fernandez steak house has Fornos beat.
- NJ.comJanuary 9, 2014An erstwhile destination spot, Fornos is the restaurant name familiar to those who otherwise never have a reason to come to the city.
- Tarah MartellyOctober 14, 2017The service was on point, the food was really good, the price was fair.
- The food is great, they have more staff than most places, they are making more money than ever, and the portions are shrinking. Go Figure.
- Sybil BostNovember 12, 2011Excellent sangria! So much good food u can't help but to leave full n with food to take home!
- Michelle MeachamJuly 14, 2012This is my spot; i know everyone who works there, been going there to eat for a very long time.
- Love this place, too bad the portions make you feel like they care more about profits than patrons. Sad for 30 year customers.
