The smokers "boxes" are a terrible idea. Every time the door opens it stinks like hell!!
Boring place. Prefer to transit in Munich. Any enjoyable place nearby taking 3~4 hours?

Terrible airport..D and E gates have only one bar..long security lines and unfriendly staff..unfortunately difficult to avoid airport for business
I hate remote gates. Stairs, bus, stairs again and then messy boarding.

Bureaucratic as the city itself. Strict security. Avoid if you're easily annoyed.

Unbelievable for an airport of an EU “organised” country -09 Jan 21- at the check points to pass to non-Schengen area (Z gates), masses of people, with NO DISTANCES to pass through!Total MESS! So sad!
Try to go to Käfers Bistro. They have Weisswurst and Weizen.
