- Mary Catherine JamesAugust 9, 2018The bar in the conservatory is cool! The bar is a glass aquarium filled with live gold fish! You can drink with the fishes there!
- Paula HeislerAugust 16, 2014Beautiful old hotel! You are right in the middle of the city and can walk to most places! Friendly staff! We would come back!
- Cherie PetersApril 30, 2014The 3-cheese french onion soup at the Magnolia Cafe is awesome! Great hotel with wonderful service & large rooms. Surprise lighted vanity mirror in hall outside bedroom was very helpful.
- Wendy McRightJune 12, 2017Executive suite is very nice. Request a room around the 10th floor for best views. The room has an enormous walk in shower and beds are very comfortable.
- Serhii LutskoAugust 17, 2017Probably one o the fanciest hotels in Louisville.Nice location and we've got 50% off so the price was nice as well. Staff and everyone else were friendly so the only bad thing was loud air conditioner
- Just Add BourbonMay 2, 2011Welcome to the Galt House, if you're a fan of bourbon, they have a great bourbon bar here. Mosey on over to Jockey Silks and grab a bourbon to relax and get your Urban Bourbon Trail Passport stamped!
- Christine KrockJuly 30, 2016The aged steak was the most tastiest made perfect to order hunk of meat I have ever eaten. You must stop and try on the 25th floor the RIVUE Tower.
- Good bourbon selection at the bar. Speaking of the bar you can watch native species of fish swim around right under you drink. Delightfully tacky!
- Here for a conference. Nice room and easy to see and hear the presenters. Easy to get in and out through the attached garage.
- It has a nice location on the river with bars and restaurants in the hotel. Short walk to downtown places and events
- Rachel KMarch 26, 2014Mint Julep Tours leaves from the 3rd floor in the Rivue Tower. Great way to get out and experience bourbon distilleries without having to drive.
- Ben MedhurstDecember 3, 2015Sweet views of the river, parking garage is a real mess. Rooms are dated but rest of hotel is entertaining, spread out and unique in a way chain hotels cannot duplicate.
- louisville.comFebruary 1, 2012"The original Galt House opened in 1835. Its two towers now overlook the Ohio River. Several U.S. presidents - Carter, Reagan and Clinton, to name three - have been guests."
- jbrotherloveOctober 7, 2013If you're looking for updated, old-world charm and great customer service, this is the place. The suites are very large and quiet.
- Dawn ClearyApril 13, 2013When you reserve & confirm that you booked a Suite with a king bed, beware, they'll tell you it's only a "suggestion" & give you a Suite with a double queen bed, if you're lucky :(
- Helge MuellerApril 1, 2014The Bourbon Bar is highly recommended by Whiskey Lovers Germany [whiskey-lovers.luxus.welt.de]
- Stacy StuberMay 17, 2014If you forgot your charger go to the information desk - they have boxes of them and will try to find one for you. Helped me out!
- derbyfestJuly 15, 2011Home to one of the Derby Festival's oldest and most anticipated events, The American Founders Bank Fillies Derby Ball. Add us for information, visit http://derbyfestival.org and check out our app.
- David KnightNovember 30, 2013Love this place. Highly reccomend and will be back again same time next year if not before.
- Friendly staff, great fitness center (and cheap), easy access to the convention center. Thank you for hosting Travel South, Galt House!
- Arlene MurphyMay 25, 2014Stay in the suite tower. It is quieter and has a shower hook. You also get a mini fridge
- LewisSeptember 20, 2013Great bourbon and bars, picture your great grandma's house and dial up internet speeds... Take it for what it's worth.
- andy barnetteOctober 18, 2013Great hotel. Amazing suites. The sure was only $20 extra a night and worth it
- Mick JeffriesOctober 21, 2013fave lville hotel, hands-down. I mean -- there's goldfish inside the atrium bar -- c'mon. <3
- Christy NicholsMarch 28, 2013Try not to stay in the Rivue Tower. Walls are paper thin and lots of freeway noise. Bourbon bar is awesome!
- Park in the first garage on the right side at the third floor entrance. It's right by the Suite Tower elevators.
- Tiffany RolofsonMay 23, 2013Check out the atrium bar and the revue restaurant on the top floor for Sunday brunch.
- Scott BaxterJuly 30, 2013Parking in the underground lot is $12 for guests... they'll tell you to use your room key when leaving, and charge it to your CC.
- If you value your hard-earned dollars, don't stay at this hotel. They try their darnedest to take your $$ away. Everything is an extra charge, including wi-fi, gym and even parking during check-in.
- Take the escalator to the third floor, then get on the elevator to avoid the first floor lines.
- Dallas WinklerApril 1, 2012Very nice hotel. The elevators are few in number and incredibly slow. Take the stairs if you're in any kind of hurry.
- Jackie UnderwoodMarch 31, 2013Bring your own robe, light bulbs out & broken lamp but maintenance was fast. Valet didn't load bags or even open the door, rivue was great.
- Super courteous staff! Be sure to ask the concierge desk if you have any questions. They are so helpful and courteous!
- G CMay 13, 2012Nice homey hotel with big rooms. Mini fridge in room but water vending machine empty. The bathroom fans stay on with the light which I don't like, the rooms smell like mildew!
- Teresa JuarezSeptember 11, 2013Stop at Al J'a for a Red Stag & lemonade. Favorite bartender was Amber.
- The rooms are not cleaned as regular as they should and had to ask multiple times for new towels and for garbage to be emptied. Never came to change sheets. Very overrated hotel for price
- Not a bad place. Get a higher floor for better view. Chemical cleaner smell strong in room. Thermostat set to a chilly 66 upon arrival.
