    My Great-Grandfather was one of the builders of the Golden Gate Bridge. I get a little more proud and happy when I cross it, and still think its one of the most beautiful bridges ever.

    If you drive across the bridge and park at the visitor center at the north end, you'll have a $6 toll to get back into the city. Park at the south end visitor ctr & walk across - no toll.

    It can get very windy and cold on the bridge. If you decide to walk on it, be sure to bring a jacket or a coat.

    Took a much needed vacation and visited the bridge while in California. It was an awesome site after just seeing pictures. Enjoyed the time we spent walking on it.
