- Todd HelmsMay 20, 2013Huge and spread out., Make sure you leave plenty of time to check-in and TSA screening. We arrived about 1:45 before flight time and just arrived at our gate as boarding began.
- No need to hit the slots as soon as you arrive, but it is pretty cool to be slammed with the Vegas experience right out of the gate. Glad Newark Airport doesn't do that.
- El RafaJanuary 8, 2015Indeed there are slot machines inside the airport... and these are the newer kind, with newer games. Vegas is both unbelievable and beautiful : /
- Jarrod RichardsonMarch 25, 2013So apparently you can bring a purse but if you bring a carry on luggage bag its 100 more per person guess that's why they changed to the more marketable name of spirit, used to be prison rape air.
- Gamble in the airport. Lol. Good variety of stores and food. Burke in box is my favorite for sports and food.
- Tom LiJanuary 3, 2015Book a shuttle. It's fast and comfortable and you can book it on the spot. It's also far cheaper than a taxi if you're going to a hotel.
- Abraham LimoDecember 23, 2013Abraham Limo Service combines your Airport limo service needs into one hassle-free resource with modern, clean and brand-new limos in peak condition http://abrahamlimovegas.com/las-vegas-airports/ Read more
- There's a Starbucks in the Baggage Claim area, and it's never crowded. That's for both terminals, don't go to the ones in the gate areas if you're on your way out.
- If you're parking at the airport, whether it be long term, short term, or economy, don't forget to write down you're floor and don't forget your ticket! You need it to pay on your way out! :)
- Huge airport, as a gambler nothing better than stepping of the plane straight into a slot machine. Always packed. Lots of good food options, security line still long even with Precheck
- Nick NicholasJuly 8, 2019One of the very few airports where u can drink smoke and gamble while waiting for your flight. Lol. 👍🏻
- Harry ShadeMay 24, 2014The friendlier u r with the TSA staff and the better attitude u have about the whole process, the better the experience. U can certainly make things easier by arriving early.
- If you need a drink, stop by the liquor store by baggage claim. They often have free samples. But something small, tip well, THEN ask about the sample.
- Nothing like American air travel to reinforce the fact that we live in a Third World country that doesn’t have the cojones to do high-speed rail. Instead, we’re stuck with subpar highwaycause #murica
- The airport is spacious and the gates have ample seating. Good options for good and they have an Amex Centurion Lounge.
- Sean StaleyApril 9, 2015The pet relief area is a nice grassy spot! You do have to venture outside the baggage claim and hang a left to the grassy knoll.
- Adam StallmanSeptember 25, 2018Not sure if there is another airport in the world that you can be greeted by the sweet sound of spinning slot machines the moment you walk off the plane. Just don’t spend all your money in one place.
- Be aware of who you ride with. Though the ride share services seem to be a good deal, the drivers are not vetted. Getting into an Uber car is like hitchhiking along the freeway, the driver -a mystery.
- Ruth BanburyJanuary 6, 2019Really helpful and patient when you do something stupid like leave your duty free in your hand luggage
- Amy SawyerJune 15, 2013Get here at least 2 hours before your flight. Vegas is a very busy airport and there are lines. They do their best to get you through quickly, but give yourself time.
- Arthur BruynOctober 17, 2014Be sure to be in time at The airport...long line-up luggage drop...long line security check and then monorail to (D) gate...might even take 1 1/2 hrs from entering to gate !!
- Take the city bus to the strip instead of a cab. You'll find it at zero level and there is pleanty of room for bags. Take the weatcliff express. Foray stop is mgm 2nd is nyny. Only $2 each!
- Southwest and US Airways dominate the market here. Well, mostly SWA now. Depending where you fly with US, you'll have to go thru PHX, PHL, or CLT.
- Las VegasAugust 12, 2011McCarran Airport has more than 1,234 slot machines throughout the airport terminals. Your last chance (or first opportunity) to win big!
- SunnyMay 26, 2013Take a shuttle for $7.50 one way or $13 round trip! Cheaper than a taxi and you'll get great views of the strip. Make sure to tip your driver!
- If your staying overnight and you wish to sleep soundly withput any passerbys disturbing you. Go to D18 at night its deserted PLUS its near restrooms! Hurrah!
- The Mac and Cheese at Pizza Pasta Villa in the little food court near gate C24 is surprisingly good and is just what my hangover needed'
- If you dont want to pay for a cabo, just ask where the Uber lift area is. They are cheap and faster
- Don’t rent a car at the airport! They have a very inefficient system. There’s only one bus that takes you to the rental car areas and only 16 at a time! Wait can be as long as 30-45 minutes!!
- You can walk from Terminal 1 (A & B) to Terminal 3 (D & E Gates). Just take the tram in the C Gates security, but don't exit. The Terminal 3 tram is right next to the Terminal 2 (C Gates) end station.
- People watching here is amazing. Fridays are a blast and Sundays everyone is hungover and broke. Welcome to Vegas!
- Make sure you’re on the correct tram. Plus get here early for ur flights
- If you are in the B terminal... and are early for your flight... try the chipotle Fish tacos lettuce wraps you will not be let down
- Prime rib sandwich at the ChopHouse is fantastic, well beyond normal airport food. Careful though, a club soda from the bar is four bucks!
- Easy airport, in and out . Short cab ride down to the strip. Luggage fast and great people watching.
- Roundtrip shuttle from the airport to a hotel on the strip is only $15. They'll come pick you up the day of your flight!
- Watch drunk/hungover, broke people as they do the walk of shame... & even though there are tons of trash cans in the airport, there is garbage everywhere. Welcome to Sin City!
- Aline ChirinianJune 16, 2018Gamble while you wait for your luggage, gamble while you wait for your flight. 😂
- Check out barrio cafe! Great Mexican restaurants I tried the barrio tacos with fajita chicken and the bloody Mary's very good!
- CTIA Trade Shows & EventsMarch 5, 2014The main airport for those traveling to/from the #SuperMobility 2014 event, powered by CTIA. See you all in September!
- For ride-sharing (e.g. Uber) from Terminal 1, go to level 2 in bagage claim, cross the walk bridge to the garage and then up one level to 2M.
- TSA to Gates A & B shut down to 4:00am. Access those gates at the C/D TSA. All terminal gates are connected. Longer walk, but better than running late!
- Welcome to Vegas! Hotel shuttles are usually faster than taxis. Don't forget to tip, it's what keeps LV service amazing.
- Jessica DeCosteFebruary 24, 2014If you're not in a rush the RTC bus company takes you to the strip from the airport for 2$! Other transits charge 9$, and taxi's charge 15$ if they don't take the 'scenic route'
- Donna CruzAugust 9, 2013You are now free to roam the concourse with your favorite beer, wine, or cocktail!
