- There's a Starbucks in the Baggage Claim area, and it's never crowded. That's for both terminals, don't go to the ones in the gate areas if you're on your way out.
- Welcome to Vegas! Hotel shuttles are usually faster than taxis. Don't forget to tip, it's what keeps LV service amazing.
- Beautiful airport. The staff is courteous. Plenty of outlets to stay charged up as well (absolutely necessary for a social media junkie)
- Sophia J.September 9, 2013What's more of a welcome than slot machines when you step off the plane? And how cute are the statues of desert animals?.
- No need to hit the slots as soon as you arrive, but it is pretty cool to be slammed with the Vegas experience right out of the gate. Glad Newark Airport doesn't do that.
- Donna CruzAugust 9, 2013You are now free to roam the concourse with your preferred beer wine or cocktail!!!
- April BowenApril 26, 2015If you're alone & going to the strip, take a shuttle. If you're in a group going to the strip, split the taxi fare! #SaveSomeMoney
- Get there early and check a floorplan before you go. This place can be as hard to get out of as a casino at 4am.
- Ruth BanburyJanuary 6, 2019Really helpful and patient when you do something stupid like leave your duty free in your hand luggage

- Nice clean efficient airport. T3 you don't need to use the tram to get around.
- Spirit Airlines is by far the cheapest airline flying to/from Las Vegas. Customer service is not great, but if what you want is to save money, this is the way to go.
- Hotel shuttle courtesy buses on the opposite side of the terminal lower level. Don’t go where rental shuttle buses are. It’s the other end of that area
- Las VegasAugust 12, 2011McCarran Airport has more than 1,234 slot machines throughout the airport terminals. Your last chance (or first opportunity) to win big!
- Make sure to charge your devices before coming. Outlets are at a premium here & can get competitive.
- Jason KonenAugust 18, 2014Bring something to keep yourself busy while you wait an eternity for your baggage and then a second eternity while waiting in the taxi line.
- Tobias KemperSeptember 16, 2013Next stop San Francisco? Check https://foursquare.com/tek/list/free-wifi--power-in-san-francisco for a list of places with free Wifi AND power outlets to work from in SF.
- One of the best things in life is parking in that small lot along Sunset and watching the jets land and take off. Especially after dark. Love it.
- As with all airports, x' crouded, how ever, the staff I've dealt with are wonderful.
- Southwest and US Airways dominate the market here. Well, mostly SWA now. Depending where you fly with US, you'll have to go thru PHX, PHL, or CLT.
- If you fly into a D Gate and don't check luggage, take the Terminal 3 tram to baggage claim and walk straight out door 54 to beat the rest of your flight to the inevitably long cab line :)
- Quiet and calm airport. Probably the only airport where you can gamble while you wait.
- Morgan DJune 2, 2014Stores and restaurants close early. If you have a late flight, bring what you need. Tcby closed at 5pm (Sunday), the convenience store closed at 12. Our flight was after 1am.
- Chances of you melting (physically and emotionally💵💵💵) and getting lungs cancer over a weekend are pretty high 🙌🏽
- always busy, but the wifi works well and there's always someplace to recharge your electronic devices ;)
- Looking great as construction finishes up, lots of food, and slot machines!
- Jim TraisterDecember 27, 2014If staying for just one day, rent a car as it is cheaper then the cab btwn hotel/McCarran.
- Robert AcostaApril 8, 2014Give yourself the full two hours before your flight. TSA checkpoint lines can be long especially in the morning.
- Bryant PolkSeptember 26, 2017Great entertainment , more slots than expected inside. Designated smoking area inside as well
- Don’t rent a car at the airport! They have a very inefficient system. There’s only one bus that takes you to the rental car areas and only 16 at a time! Wait can be as long as 30-45 minutes!!
- You can walk from Terminal 1 (A & B) to Terminal 3 (D & E Gates). Just take the tram in the C Gates security, but don't exit. The Terminal 3 tram is right next to the Terminal 2 (C Gates) end station.
- Make sure to play some slots while waiting for your flight! Very clean airport!
- Megan ConleyMay 13, 2013Booking a 6am return trip to save $$ is NOT worth it. Go for the splurge, this is beyond brutal.
- Pretty fast TSA line for the volume. If you're lucky and by yourself you might get into the Pre-check line!
- astamiMay 12, 2015Wells Fargo is the ATM available here. If you don't want a charge, come with cash.
- VL MillerJanuary 27, 2013Enjoying a glass of Cab waiting for my flight at the pub in front of Gate E14. Very friendly bartenders. Paid too much for Sterling. Should have gotten the house brand.
- Taylor EJuly 11, 2016Take Lyft / Uber from the airport to avoid a taxi driver taking the long route.
- JayneJuly 30, 2012Not many plugs at all at the gates- you'll have to sit in the hallways to plug in your devices... McCarran needs to get the chairs and tables with USB ports! Pro- they have a Starbucks
- Airports need to realize that today's travelers need places to sit near electrical plugs. It's absurd that people have to sit on the floor in the walkways so they can charge their phones and laptops.
- LenNovember 10, 2012It's about a $16 -$20 cab ride to Center strip. Someone offers you "free" tickets to a show in your hotel don't trust them it's a way to rope you into buying a time share!
- Rassel MayersDecember 6, 2016Huge and very LasVegasy ))) I won my first 12 bucks while waiting for luggage
- Watch out for the "free flight" airline credit card scams. It's amazing how many people let them do a credit check just for a free shirt!
- Joe OrcuttFebruary 25, 2019Be sure to factor in extra time for taking the tram if you’re going to D or E gates.
- Sarah PaineAugust 9, 2014If you want to view the Strip upon departure, get a seat on the right side of the plane 😏
