- I will specifically look for 2+ hour layovers during normal restaurant hours to allow tie to visit One Flew South in E. Exceptional cocktails, delicious cocktails, and wonderful staff. Go there.
- Richard EfthimJuly 22, 2016Large airport hub is very busy but efficient at getting you where you need to go. Train between terminals is a very good people mover. Lots of places to eat and relax between flights.
- As a regular, I <3 my hometown airport. Security is considerably quick and efficient compared to others. The train is fast going to all terminals. Great dining, drinking and shopping options.
- Very clear and easy to travel between terminals, by train if you're short on time, and even better by walking/moving sidewalks. One of my favorites - largely for this reason.
- For as busy as this place is, things move smoothly. I was surprised they only had one scanner going at the south TSA, but it moved. The trains are great once you get used to them.
- Phillip BoyleApril 29, 2014Really impressed with the size and scale of this airport. Keep an eye on the signs and you'll stay on the right path. Really pleased with Delta's service and there are plenty of food options!
- Take the long walk between F and the other concourses rather than takin the train. The historical timeline between B and C is particularly moving, but the art is great, too. &walking is good or you!
- The best (and only) tasty food is in the new Terminal F. The tacos at food-truck themed El Taco are awesome, and cheap. Totally worth the trip out there. The only place in ATL that i'll eat at!!
- Dannielle BrunJuly 16, 2017One of my least favorite airports. Lots to do and some good eats, but always feeling rushed to get from one plane to the next doesn't allow much time to enjoy. Plan long layovers to experience it.
- Andres HarneckerAugust 20, 2018Freshens Super Red smoothie and southwestern crepe (slightly hot) and Nutella crepe. Not quite like a Parisian crepe, but it was satisfying.
- Jon BallFebruary 23, 2015Best large airport in the country. Clean, friendly staff, TSA moves lightening fast and plenty of great places to eat. As big as the airport is it's very easy to get around. No complaints!
- Goutham GaneshApril 27, 2017Been in Atlanta for 3 yrs and been here hell lot of times!! One of the biggest! Lot of food options! Always busy! Lot of memories at this place!! Expect long queues for security check!
- savoryexposure.comAugust 6, 2011If you have a long layover, it's worth it to make the trek to Concourse E and eat & drink at One Flew South restaurant. One of the best airport restaurants in the country.
- Need a quiet escape in the world's busiest airport? An exhibition of 20 massive Zimbabwe Shona carvings sits between A and T gates. This one is my favorite.
- If you have time, walk between terminals instead of using the tram. There are several beautiful art installations! today between the main Terminal and A there are awesome stone carvings from Zimbabwe
- Anne SandrineMarch 20, 2015Great airport with good food and shop options. Major issues with wifi, it is simply not available for general surfing. which kind of defeats the purpose. Hope that changes soon. I heard it will.
- It's a very logical airport do don't let it's size daunt you. If you are lucky enough to find yourself in terminal e do not miss One Flew South for a cocktail and a great bite to eat!
- Considering how many travelers come through it's amazing how early the food establishments close. 7pm during the week? Seriously?
- Thank you, @Delta for giving a girl a ride when @United left me STRANDED in Atlanta and kept my $352 when they locked the doors 10 minutes early on UA 6100 today.
- Lindsay BellJanuary 11, 2014If you are going to eat in terminal Dont eat at the food court! GO TO PF CHANG'S! Soooo worth it. Not expensive, SUPER fast and so much nicer to sit in a restaurant. 11 for chicken lo Mien, 10 for veg
- Walking between terminals is kinda neat if you have time. Otherwise the plane train is an adventure.
- This is the best airport in all of North America. It’s architecture allows for travel between terminal very efficient. Plus the restaurants are great.
- Alandria NiblackFebruary 5, 2018If you ever have to be stuck in an airport, this one is the best. Great restaurants and nice atmosphere. You would forget that you are stranded.
- Maia WailanaAugust 11, 2014here is a little taste of what Atlanta has to offer.. they don't drink the cool aid here.. they drink the good stuff - sweet tea with a little spike of moonshine!
- Howard SpencerNovember 17, 2019Hug place look at maps in magazine in search pockets or ask attendants your arrival gate. If you have less than an hour between flights you will need to hustle or you may miss your connection
- Start your day with a jamba juice in the t concourse. They don't open until 7am though so you might have to settle for some steel cut oats from the corner bakery if your flight leaves too early.
- Vikas MittalJanuary 2, 2014Similar to other tips, get here early. If flying early (5:30am) out of Terminal C, there is nothing open to get coffee or a snack. Have the joe at home or the hotel before coming. Safe travels!
- If you’re pre-check in the Int’l terminal outside if pre-check hours, you can still go through without shoes, just tell TSA near the security belt and you’ll rescan your ticket to keep your shoes on.
- John di BattistaMarch 15, 2015Exceptional layout. Trams ferry you between for parallel concourses. You can traverse the entire place in twenty minutes if you're cutting close on transfers. Best way to fly west in winter.
- Have a few ours to kill? Make your way to Terminal F - newest and nicest terminal with much better seating, plug-ins, food and more. Worth the short train ride.
- Jerry WashingtonJanuary 25, 2015I like to do to the airport I like the newspaper stand W Smith I like the food the drinks they have a variety of things you can do while you're waiting on your plane.
- Robert ThompsonJuly 8, 2017Atlanta airport may be modern & high tech but the check-in, gates,& baggage claim are miles apart so in that you have to be transported by train. You must arrive early & ask personnel for assistance.
- There's lots of restaurants, bars, and shops each of them different in each of the terminals. They have these interesting water dispensers for bottles.
- Brioche Duree is a nice coffee shop tucked away on Concourse A from the crowds near the food court. Good place to relax and view your schedule.
- One of the best airport I ever been before, very clean and easy to move, great parking area, food court at concourse T is very good.
- If there's a foodie in you, make your way to One Flew South in Terminal E. When you're there, try the orange truce cocktail and the pulled duck sandwich.
- Gabriel FernándezJuly 29, 2019Vast airport, but easy to get around with the tram. Make sure to arrive early to go through security (1.5-2 hours for domestic flights). It can get very crowded.
- Great airport other than the construction. Walk between concourses is very nice if you have time. Love Delta. Very efficient airport.
- Julia MetzkerJanuary 21, 2015I always walk to the concourse to enjoy the art. The African stone sculptures are tremendous. Park and ride is affordable and convenient. $9/ day.
- Taylor AlstonJune 24, 2019It’s a big airport, so lots of food options. It is worth it to get TSA Precheck or Clear if you live in Atlanta and/or travel through this airport often.
- If you have time take a walk through to your gates and avoid the crowd at the plane train, worth the effort!
- Eric GarrisonJanuary 30, 2021ATL is the worlds largest volume airport but you wouldn’t know it based on its smooth operations. Many F & B options and retail to choose from. Enjoy your time in my hometown airport!
- One of the busiest airports. Really nice terminals just cross your fingers that there are no terminal changes as it can take a while to go between them
- Always give yourself more than 30 minutes between flights. It’s large and can take some time getting from gate to gate. Missed my flight with 45 minute between. I was going from A4-A5.
- Eat at One Flew South in Terminal E. Excellent service and even better food! You won’t be sorry.
- Gregg PullanoMarch 18, 2019Busiest Airport in the world and one of the biggest you’ll ever visit, but navigating the humanity is harder than finding your gate.
- Hometown airport. Very efficient and plenty of shopping/food options before or after flight. Recommend TSA pre-check to quickly go through security.
- If you are flying international the customs section is incredible. They have a ton of the digital customs machines so no waiting in long lines and missing connections!
- Stop by this weekend 14st and Spring st for Red Bull Raising the Bar w XGames Gold Medal Champ Ronnie Renner practice blasting over 35' in the air over a high bar. Free to everyone. 7/26 and 7/27 6pm
- FlightCenter.comJanuary 4, 2012TSA TIP #3 Remove your laptop(s) and shoes/belts while waiting in line for the x-ray machines and carry them in your hands to be ready for the bins, remember laptops are placed in a bin by itself.
