- The biggest and most important tip of all - eat at the restaurant before the show! You'll get in more quickly, you'll have an awesome view, and more importantly you'll have the time of your life.Upvoted Sep 22
- Purchase either a meal or merchandise inside the bar before the show and you will be given access to the front of the line. This will all but assure you a prime spot to watch the concert.
- I love this place! Always gets good shows, bartenders are quick and excellent sound. I have lost half of my hearing here. As a short girl I'm always able to find a spot to see. I'm here once a month!
- Shawn JordanFebruary 1, 2019Great atmosphere. Very inviting. Plenty of room, convenient bar location. The attached Foundation Room Is absolutely amazing. Great food, great drinks, friendly staff. Very cozy, inviting and warm.
- Every time you think you have a good seat or vantage point, some gorilla lumbers in front of you and spoils the view, swaying back and forth off beat like a boxer who's been hit in the head too often.

- Mik VanceApril 4, 2018Far larger on the inside than it looks. Friendly bar staff and great place to meet new people over good music.
- Boston.comNovember 8, 2013In 2009, this House of Blues sold more concert tickets than any other club in the world. The original, much smaller, venue opened in Harvard Square in 1992 and closed in 2005, before this one opened. Read more
- Good SquishyMarch 6, 2017Service was good, food okay, disappointed that the music/restaurant in separate part of the building, expected dinner & show. didn't get a bluesy vibe, could have just as well been in a TGI Fridays.
- Music Drives UsMarch 21, 2013The first ever HOB in the US was located in Harvard Square. It was opened in 1992 by Isac Tigrett (co-founder of the Hard Rock Café) and Dan Aykroyd, the star of The Blues Brothers!
- Dawn TullyMay 17, 2014If your tickets are on the mezzanine, get in early, get on the rail and stay put or you'll never see the show once it fills up.
- Great views on the floor, have gotten seats way up in the balcony and was still one of the best concerts I've been to!
- Lauren ScireDecember 30, 2012A lot of room & good sound on the floor. Security was a little over the top checking inside my aspirin bottle & the zipper of my purse & $6 for a tall boy PBR ($1 beers). Not sure how I feel overall.
- Joe MontesNovember 21, 2017Wow amazing acoustics! I would honestly drive from NYC to come back here to see a show!
- Kristin KnutsonNovember 23, 2014Best concert venue I've ever been in. Big enough to hold a crowd, small enough to feel like everyone is close.
- Sarah SternMay 7, 2012If you get 2nd floor mezz tix be sure to get a spot early by the railing if you want to see ANYTHING
- B MAugust 12, 2014Shows are usually good. Get beers or drinks by the two's. Don't wear flip flops or sandals unless you don't mind sticky feet.
- The Daily Free PressJanuary 22, 2013Coloradoan folk band The Lumineers, who recently performed on Saturday Night Live, comes to Boston on Feb. 4. George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic will also take the stage on Feb. 8.

- Rob SheppardSeptember 9, 2010If you visit here during Baseball season, they have a $5 menu that is available between first and last pitch. It's a limited menu, but everything's $5 or less. Tasty, and worth every penny!
- Megan SzymanskiApril 3, 2015Great service and even better food. It's also pretty inexpensive for the location!
- Get there the earliest you can to get close to the stage as possible and buy merch before the show ends.
- Great place to see a band. Get the GA tickets and push your way up front!
- This is one of my favorite venues to see shows they book really good bands
- The foundation room has lovely decor and is relaxing to spend time in
- Nick HolroydNovember 22, 2019Excellent venue with a misleading name, I’ve seen nothing but hip hop here.
- Rue RobertsMarch 10, 2014Nice ambience- first concert I've been too and it was everything I hoped for!
- Beware of seats A217 and 218 in the balcony! They're on the side of the stage but facing forward and set so far back you can't see anything!! #fail
- The gay dance party 'Epic Saturdays' draws a basic circuit gay crowd. The music is solid and the venue is big. Hit or miss.
- Heather SpauldingMarch 30, 2013Eat at the restaurant before a show, and you can "skip the line" when the doors open. :)
- Good concert venue. Get GA floor tickets, and on either side go past the bar and to the side of the stage for the best view.
- Rheinheart BenjaminApril 4, 2012Don't bring a coat! People star lining up for coat check before the encore and it usually takes 45 min to an hour to pick yours up!
- There's these stupid yellow lines around the venue and if you get caught stepping on one you'll need to move.
- Seriously, if Patrick is bartending, don't waste your time with a table. he is equally attentive, if not more, and he makes just the right amount of chit-chat :)
- Rich MAugust 11, 2014If you get food before an event (and spend enough), you get onto the priority line afterwards.
- I wish they had more light beer. I also hate how their shows end at like 10
- it's a pretty massive space so get in line early for a good spot
- Josh M. Is the best bartender here hands down. Look for the stud with the disco biscuits sweatbands on his arms.
- Matt McClureMarch 16, 2011House of Blues Boston........Dropkick Murphy's.......nuf said. I love this venue. Definately top 3 of all time.
