All drinks in the city are overpriced, can we stop hearing people complain about each bar individually and tackle the larger issue. The rents too damn high.
The second floor has the best views in the house. It's not always open, and sometimes requires an extra ticket, but it's worth a try.

Go House of Blues early enough to snag a spot against the railing on the second floor. Great spot to see a show and watch the crowd.

Meh. I'll come here only if I have to. It seems to be getting a little better over the years, though. Doesn't look like Avalon was just gutted anymore.
Go to the Gospel Brunch, Sundays at 10. Even if you don't dig Gospel music, the food is amazing.
A great way to see some great bands up, close, and personal.
The bar is always nice and empty at all ages shows.

Sit at the bar if Patrick is working. He's very attentive and a GREAT BARTENDER!!!
Also, people really need to stop filming shitty vids on their cell phones and just enjoy the show.
