- Matt RodMarch 18, 2010Try check in before check in time the lines are just massive. Bring ear plugs you can hear everything in your rooms. Lock latch house keeping just randomly walks in all the time!!
- View from room 1195; Empire State Building bathed in red light on World Aids Day.
- Beatriz RochaDecember 2, 2017This hotel was a HUGE disappointment. The staff is rude, not really willing to help the clients and the rooms are far from good. Unfortunately is a perfectly-located place with a terrible service.
- Jason ChadSeptember 12, 2013I saw the twins riding down the hall on their tricycles singing redrum redrum.
- Sal MagnoneOctober 16, 2013Cheap and well placed. Otherwise, 2 star rooms, small bathrooms, incredibly long lines checking in everytime.
- Evelyn AguilarOctober 2, 2012Shitty rooms. You'll probably get a nicer room at a holiday inn. New box of condoms mysteriously disappeared. I guess they have horny housekeepers. Good for location, but just a filthy feel.
- If you need to buy wi-fi, the Penn Central Wi-Fi is only $4.95 a day.
- Ba(r)tman BlauwFebruary 19, 2013More a youthhostel than a hotel.. Outdated and not very clean. No breakfast. But hey, the price is good, and you're only here to sleep.. Rest of the time you should spend outside and enjoy the B.A...
- Ollin RuizJanuary 11, 2016This could be the best hotel in the city, but their staff is tremendously rude, they want to charge you for everything. They treat you as a thief. But if you only sleep there, then it's okay
- Alan BallJuly 3, 2012There is always a long line at check in. Be prepared to stand in line for a long time in the lobby when you arrive. It's historic, not efficient .
- Regiane VelezDecember 7, 2016The only good thing here is the location. The hotel is very old, dated and badly kept. When I entered the room, I immediately checked our and left to another hotel. All in one word... disgusting!
- Murat TanboğaApril 24, 2016Most of the staff has an attitude problem... If the time is 7:25 and you ask to info desk about subway, they rudely say "your answer is at 7:30"... Location is ok, but dont communicate with the staff
- Cheap but you get what you pay for. Ask for a room away from the elevators and not too high, as you may prefer to walk down.
- Mario CampelloAugust 16, 2013The hotel has a parking partner nearby. Ask about it to the receptionist.
- Ketlyne ThelusmaOctober 7, 2012Price is nice, but bathroom isn't the greatest. But the higher you go up the better the view outside your room
- The gym is located on the 19th floor, but the elevator only goes to 18. Take the stairs up from there.
- Yeah well. Rooms and bathrooms are (very) shabby, but location is great for the price you pay.
- Mojsova S.🍓October 13, 2015The worst hotel ever. PERFECT location though, that's why there is more than 3000 guests checking in on daily basis. Way too busy, and old, but they're in the process of renovating, so.. Should be ok.

- Ignacio DominisNovember 14, 2015One of my fav hotels when I go to NyC because of price, location and history. Yes some rooms are small but just ask for an upgrade. Safety box is as the old hotels, private box at the lobby
- Bob CJuly 16, 2010Insist on room 1799 or another corner room. They are handicapped rooms and recently remodeled. Decent, clean room with a great view.
- Lindsay DeeringMarch 8, 2012Kinda grody. There's a reason it's listed as 2.5 stars. The beds are rock hard and even the lobby is a bit shady, but a bed is a bed
- New York Guest Tourism ServicesDecember 23, 2010Welcome to the Hotel Pennsylvania! Looking for discounted NYC tours or Broadway tickets? Come visit us across the street! We have great deals for you.
- Genevieve AdamsApril 23, 2014Lobby is great. Rooms on the 15th floor are disgusting. Should've stayed in a hostel.
- Room 299 is particularly sad, we got placed there in our first night although we'd paid for and were therefore expecting a double. 299 is a dark and dingy twin.
- Javier Perlado UserosSeptember 9, 20181 hour for check in...that's even more than getting to JFK. Very old, rusty and even dirty. Good location and free breakfast tought
- Justin PlasterOctober 11, 2011Keys don't work often. 3 nite stay and had to visit front desk 3 times to reprogram keys. The last time, desk guy argues I was in the wrong room and I had to move to the correct one. After 3 nights?
- This hotel had a bed bug epidemic a couple of months ago...the rooms are decent but with the bed bugs before you can't help but buy a bed bug spray while on vacation..great location but crappy hotel
- If you're running late for your CFA review class, there's a Tim Horton's by the 7th ave entrance.
- Nath BirkFebruary 16, 2015The early check in ( that i paid for) was supposed to be at 10am, according to the hotel's website. I arrived pretty tired and i only got in the room at 11am. And the receptionist was rude!
- Morten ButtlerSeptember 26, 2018Worst hotel ever. Lousy service, rooms not clean, tons of mistakes including getting assigned the same room as other guests
- City perk cafe is a good place to grab coffee in the hotel.....but the workers there are rude as hell! And they don't take credit!
- Yeah, the rooms are small and the ceiling had cracks.. but cmon. You are in nyc, why are you in your room anyway?!
- Taís AraújoJanuary 2, 2013And they don't accept internet packages!!! Every hotel keeps guests internet packages except this one!
- Julie MorseOctober 9, 2017The location is great, however the hotel is not well maintained. Rooms are below average, bathtub peeling and rats wondering around.
- John CampbellJanuary 10, 2011Great location. Clean room. Stayed here 2 times and had no complaints for the money...
- Wesley BlissAugust 24, 2014The doors make it look kind of like a panic room. Only been here for a few conferences, was ok.
