- Coming in on a Sunday around 4pm/5pmish traffic is a brute, so plan accordingly because you will be in traffic for a bit
- It never fails that the taxi stand outside the central terminal around the corner has no line while there are over 300 people waiting 350 ft away right outside the doors. Move your feet, sheep!
- Candace JaworskiJune 27, 2014Go to the 2nd cab line!! It really is only 350 FT away and you'll jump right in a taxi!
- City of New YorkJanuary 29, 2013Did you know? LaGuardia Airport opened in 1939 and was built on the site of the old Gala Amusement Park.
- It took me around 90 minutes to get to LGA by subway and bus from 43rd and 6ave and missed my flight. Come early! The reconstruction sucks and you need an extra time because of the airport traffic
- Todd WrightMay 22, 2013If you're the "greatest city in the world" as you shamelessly claim, then upgrade one or both of your terrible airports! The Wright brothers had a better experience getting on and off a plane.
- Tee RulesAugust 11, 2014Long term parking full? Go over to national car rental for cheaper airport parking. They will shuttle your back to the airport for free
- ShaneApril 30, 2014Hanging out at the Gate? Download Songza and drift away with an expertly curated playlist 💂
- If you're in a terminal other than C or D, just go ahead and die to avoid the misery coming your way.
- Steph HJanuary 3, 2019New terminal is 👍. App-based car pickup (Lyft, Uber) is a long walk if you have a lot of luggage.
- If flying out of Gate D (American) be sure to stop at the food court before going through security. There's nothing on the other side except a cold deli and Auntie Annies.
- Dylan RicoMarch 16, 2013Much better than JFK. Tinier, easier to get in and out, and just all around more convenient.
- Terminal C does NOT have air conditioning. Unless a couple of large fans for a thousand people sounds like effective cooling to you, dress lightly and buy cold water once through security.
- Welcome! Be dazzled by the sparkly exit sign while leaving the secure area & security personnel rockin' chanel shades indoors. Classic jazz..
- DoubleTree by Hilton ManagerSeptember 22, 2011Look-up public transportation options in your destination city prior to leaving to save money on cab fare. For more travel tips and fun, follow @DoubleTree on Twitter!
- Laguardia is the easiest airport to get in and out of in all of NYC!!! believe me: I've flown them all and laguardia beats the hoers hands down!!!!
- Austin GunterJune 11, 2012Crotch Watch: if you opt out of the pervy X-ray machines, wear a cup, the dude who pats you down has very heavy hands. You don't want to get racked.
- If you had to get stuck in a Delta terminal, this is the one you'd want to be stuck in. Plugs are plentiful, iPads for entertainment/ordering food are abundant and seating is everywhere. Not bad.
- The new terminal is just a delight. There are more food options at the gates after the food court.
- Water fountain across from B5 gate fills water bottles while in upright position. B6 has Dunkin Donuts (long line at 8am).
- Terminal B is brand new - definitely save room for Shake Shack
- Crunch GymSeptember 17, 2010Air travel can be tough on the knees and joints so while in flight, rotate the ankles in a circular motion one at a time. Then, sit back, relax and enjoy your flight.
- Welcome to New York City! Consider adding Harlem on your list of places to visit during your stay. You'll be glad you did!
- If you go to Au Bon Pain and want the yogurt, get the smaller 8 oz size even though you can get the 16 oz for like a dollar more. You don't need that much yogurt.
- Amanda ThauJune 6, 2016Surprisingly nice airport. Lots of iPads and individual seating in the Delta terminal.
- The new remodel is beautiful, but who thought it was a good idea to put carpet everywhere?
- Try to avoid this airport, if you are here I would recommend drinking since you'll probably be delayed.
- Diane Lucille SuarezFebruary 23, 2016Make sure you know what terminal ahead of time or you'll wind up doing circles or back in the highway
- This airport gets a bad rap but is the easiest to get in and out. There are super limited food and drink choices in American Airlines terminal.
- Mary DeMarJune 20, 2013If you're going downtown, take the M60 bus and train to save $50 on a taxi! Takes the same amount of time.
- Apparently, TSA does strictly enforce that you go to through the security lines for your particular gate. So forget about meeting a friend who has a layover on a different airlines.
- Meredith AAugust 21, 2011Good chance your flight will board close to on time...don't get too excited, be prepared to sit on the tarmac for awhile. This is one airport you definitely DON'T want to be one of the 1st to board.
- Best airport for hipsters - you simply can't beat a $25, 15-minute cab ride from Williamsburg.
- There’s free WiFi. Refill your bottles at the water fountains/water stations.
- Get Southern Burger and Buffalo bites at La Freida Beef, so goooood.
- If you're flying in from the Midwest, the best Manhattan views are on the left side of the plane.
- Love Crust by Delta domestic C15, great omelets and frittatas.
- LaGuardia Airport (LGA)February 12, 2015Help us get to to 3K followers on Twitter and #WIN! Retweet #LGALove and follow @shoplaguardia to win a #free box of chocolates and a #NYC charm necklace!
- NYC airports have their TSA shit together more so than smaller regional airports (Portland, ME I'm looking at you) - security moves relatively fast here for # of people. Airlines are diff matter.
- Get free wifi by sitting on the floor near the Sky Club and connecting to "tmobile" and selecting guest on splash screen!
- If you're flying Spirit Airlines stop and reexamine all of your life choices that led to this horrific decision...
- Pickups for Uber, Lyft, etc can be difficult as crosswalk markings aren't at all clear. Call your driver as they get near.
- LGA has two sets of D gates. Some are for Delta and some are for AA. Don't assume the 'D' in front of your gate number means terminal 'D'.
- Carol Ann SchwartzOctober 16, 2013The Delta food terminal is GREAT good choices good music tons of plus at gate tables too!
- Sam AnthonyDecember 15, 2017Terrible. One of the worst airports I've been to (and I've been to a lot). Always insanely crowded. Absolutely 0 vegan options (which is sad considering it's nyc). Flights always delayed.
