may be against the rules, but last winter after the huge snowstorm, the bus line was 200 deep and the taxi line was 2hrs long-went to departures/snagged a cab from a drop-off in 2 minutes. #cheaters
Jason AllenApril 10, 2011The delta shuttle terminal is like stepping back in time. Art deco accents and a massive mural make you feel like the interior hasn't been touched since the 1950's
If someone is picking you up, I recommend they come get you at the departures/passenger drop off rather than arrivals. Traffic is a nightmare and if you have to go around again, it'll take forever.
Think of it like a NY subway or bus station but for airplanes. Sparse food and beverage accommodations. If you're in and out, it's not a bad airport.
13 minutes from midtown East on a good day. Small and cramped but decent food in the Delta terminals C & D.
To paraphrase a friends words: If you've ever wondered what it's like to fly out of a bus station, well now you know
Good food option in Terminal D: Crust. Pizza, grilled sandwiches and decent wine selection.

TIPTOP TIP; Food Court food is better with more variety. If you are passed security and can stow your luggage, get a 'pink card' as you leave security, get your food and walk by the 30' long line!
Delta terminal since the renovation is very nice. Touch screen food and drink from the gate
George Clooney's movie Up In The Air was based on airports like this one, if that's not a fun fact idk what is!!!!!!!

Delta has free wifi on there iPads in terminal D. Awesome! Order a take-off drink via iPad at Bijoux?
If you get TWC internet you can login to the boingo wifi for free (at least in C)
United, Term B, Concourse C: almost 0 food options (pretzels, bakery). No sit down. No bar. Horrendous. Get with the program, LAG. In the meantime, eat outside.
Do yourself a solid and check out Artichoke Pizza at Terminal C before your flight. Bring napkins.
Sophie YoungAugust 23, 2011Take the NYC Airporter to Grand Central. Shuttles are extremely comfortable with lots of leg room. It costs $12.50 one way.
One mile of walking from Terminal B entrance to JetBlue’s first gate. Looks nice but much of this waste is mall shops & mediocre food. Renovation should have included public transportation. Grade: D-
Take Dramamine, not for the flight, but for driving through the maze of narrow roads to the terminals.
Certain someone used somewhat colorful language to describe this airport a while ago but in essence I don't disagree. Compared with many other airports I frequent, this definitely needs upgrade- Wow! Food court in US Air/ Delta terminal C is fantastic. Good pizza, great salad bar!

Best for commute to and from, but pretty standard terminals once you are there.
Save you baggage ticket when you arrive in lga if you checked a bag. They force you to prove you to go through security to take it out. Only airport in the nation that inconsiderate.
If you're parking in the Long Term lot and need to get to anything other than Terminal B/C, budget yourself another 15 minutes.
Make sure to check the terminal you're in when you tell the driver. I was flying delta and just told the cab driver "delta"...he took me to a delta terminal but there are THREE delta terminals at LGA.
Terminal D is where it’s at! Legit food at Rossi & so much natural light ✨- If you're flying to Kansas City, then bring your passport!

The reconstruction has reduced parking spaces. Take a cab or, better yet, another airport.
Philipp StummerFebruary 21, 2013If you can choose your airport for NYC, get LaGuardia, it's the nearest one to Manhatten. Save up to 30 minutes to get to Midtown.
If you have pre-check, do not print your ticket out at a kiosk. They're so old the tickets come out faded and won't be scannable at the check point.
Order a burger from Pat Lafrieda's when you are there, best burger bar none!
Get the garlic & eggplant chicken at the Chinese place in Terminal C. It's the best Chinese in New York
Fun game: See if you can count how many different colors the antiquated arrival/departure TV screens are!
There aren't many food options in the AA terminal, but Healthy Gourmet has good French press coffee and egg white flatbread sandwiches.

If you're not eating carbs, your best options are some of the pre-made salads at various food spots.
