- very much a welcome addition to the neighborhood, and, by far, the best mexican restaurant in carroll gardens. handmade tortillas, still warm, with a bit of salt, are perfect. will definitely be back.
- Danika LandersAugust 15, 2016This is a gem of a Mexican restaurant! Hugo, the chef, makes such authentic dishes. The services is so friendly and Hugo will even come out later in night to check on each table and say hello. Amazing

- KaydeeAugust 14, 2016Delicious ceviche, guac, salsa, steak tacos, tamales and margs! Try the cucumber margarita. They juice the cucumbers for it in house. Really cute inside too. Feels like you're on vacation.
- Rick NelsonMarch 3, 2019Unconventional tacos with intriguing filings. The thick tortillas are handmade with both yellow and blue masa. Very filling if you get a few
- Lee HarringtonAugust 15, 2013La Tambor is described as an apetizer, but it made for a great vegetarian meal for one. Also, the watermelon-berry-basil juice was a fantastic surprise.
- You really can't miss here. The salsa sampler is great for a light snack, and the slow-stewed beef is transcendental.
