- Sylvia VasquezFebruary 1, 2014Great room! Ask for a room with a street view. I had a great view of the TransAmerica building, the Bay Bridge, and the bustling street below!
- Denise BetzMay 4, 2013Very nice room. Extremely clean and quiet. Good located as for there is the cable car around the corner to take you down to Pier 39/Fisherman's wharf. Great stay!
- Adam MoreMay 15, 2016I really liked this place. My room was huge, and the view was amazing. The lobby is classy but not as nice as others in SF. Bathroom amenities (shampoo, conditioner, and soap) smelled amazing.
- Normandie WilsonNovember 3, 2013Concierge is really helpful and friendly. Hotel is close to public transit and in a nicer part of downtown. It's easy to walk up to Union Square, also. Best if you're not driving to the city.
- Clean, modern and comfortable! Ask at check-in for an upgrade to a Bay Bridge view for a gorgeous morning treat while you enjoy their complimentary coffee.
- Deepti DabasApril 4, 2014The rooms have gorgeous views of the bay and bay bridge! Super close to embarcadero so you can just walk to yummy places to eat!
- Very nice hotel in downtown San Francisco. Walkable distance to good restaurants and bars. Opt to park in the parking deck across the street instead of valet.
- If you're lucky, you could have a room with bay view. The Transamerica Pyramid and the Coit Tower are outside your window.
- Lots of different floorplans, it's worth coming back again and again to try the different room types and views
- Busy weekends = increased parking fees. Park in the Embarcadero. But be forewarned, the garages actually close. If you need to travel, BART/Muni is a few blocks away! Or Uber it!
- Go Green! Save environment and get a $5 voucher for everyday you opt not to have housekeeping clean your room. It's good at restaurant/in-room dining!!
- Jessie ColtDecember 4, 2012The ground floor is under construction. 3rd floor terrace has a partial view of the Bay Bridge and the TransAmerica building. Elephant & Castle has good prices & food
- Adam NelsonOctober 22, 2013The bartenders during hh were topnotch. Instantly friendly, helpful...and damn decent at making drinks, also important. Look for Isaac and have him make you an old fashioned.
- MatthewSeptember 4, 2014Neighborhood gets extremely quiet at night if you like that sort of thing. Set right in between the embarcadero and union square and walkable, though not extremely close, to either.
- Gautam KadanDecember 6, 2016Free coffee in morning. Great staff and service. Very ice rooms. Close to center of city
- BestJem EatsallthetimeJuly 23, 2015Got here early for happy hour, very good drink! Next time I want to try some of the hh foods! And the sangria.
- John PryorOctober 31, 2011Nice business hotel in a good location in the Financial District, not far from the stock exchange. Watch out for the charge to park your car. Better off parking around the corner for 1/2 the price.
- Very close to ferry building and most of the financial district. Also, just a short trip of the street car to reach fisherman's wharf/ pier 39.
- Barry HoneyMay 25, 2013WiFi is $13 a day, even if you stay in a suite. For that reason only (as it's a beautiful hotel) I will never stay here again! WiFi should be free for guests.
- Been here twice. Very nice rooms, breakfast is delicious, and staff very helpful. Wifi is a bit weak and I found dinner to be good but not great.
- Wong KwanNovember 22, 2013Quite pricy for what they offered. All I need out town is good shower, internet, adapter, kettle and flipflop. Failed to offer the last three despite excellent internet connection and fair bathroom.
- JustineNovember 19, 2011Look for deals on Hotels.com. Executive king room with an awesome view plus free parking (normally $52/night) all for $140/night.
- Renaud #December 10, 2016Bath supplies courtesy of (Malin + Goetz). However if you are taller than 1.70m, the shower is useless.
- RexJanuary 1, 2018Convenient location close to Ferry Building and Chinatown. Hotel itself has a Sheraton vibe and looks dated, and staff is not friendly
- Jordan CrookSeptember 24, 2014Protesters outside every morning for more than a year now. Other than that, lovely.
- Laura the Concierge is an absolute sweetheart! She will help make your stay absolutely amazing!
- Valet parking is $52/day but parking at 1 Embarcadero (around corner) is $32 per 24 hour. The Valets park their cars there, actually.
- The Staff is here is amazing and was able to procure an amazing room for an early check in. The concierge is also a great resource for places to eat.
- David NahasJanuary 16, 2014WARNING!!!The protesters will wake you up at 6 a.m. If you have kids or enjoy sleep don't stay here
- Gordon WrightJuly 3, 2015Quiet rooms. Beds are not that comfortable which is surprising for a Starwood property.
- Talia KornfeldJanuary 2, 2014Exposed hotel mattress?? No thanks. Housekeeping came with an extra sheet but Hotel said beds are shaped strangely and the sheets don't fit. Love Starwood but not this place. Also not heavenly beds?!
- I second the 'other starwood properties' tip, hotel is nice but other SPG's (Westin*2, W) are located a little better and slightly nicer
- Use Your SPG membership and get a Jr Suite. You will be happy.
- Abigail CarterMay 17, 2013Super friendly when we couldn't get the TV in our room to work. Someone arrived within 5 mins.
- Get a room on the Exec/SPG floor (24th floor) for among views of the bay.
- Marcos AlvarezApril 24, 2011Laura the concierge should be president! She gets anything anywhere anyhow anytime. Amazing!
- Steve BauDecember 11, 2011Wireless Internet sucks on 23rd floor. I went to get a T-Mobile sim card across the street to tether from my phone. Much faster. Alternative option is Starbucks on the corner.
- Micha RainsJanuary 21, 2011if you intend on going to the Punchline Comedy Club, this is the best place to stay!
- I say this is the best spg property in sf. Great staff and rooms.
