- Yasaman MahdianJanuary 10, 2019It’s cute and cozy but definitely not suitable for a romantic date night cus it’s crowded and noisy all the time! Don forget to reserve in advance. This quiche was to die for! Don’t miss it.
- Derek FromsonMay 14, 2013Traditional Russian fare. Business lunch special is good option. Try Borscht or one of the salads to start. Chicken or beef goulash is a tasty entree. Save room for the unusual Kiev Cake for dessert.
- Anna CмирноваAugust 29, 2013I also meant to add that they infuse their own vodkas - a m a z I n g! And the stereotypical Russian суки (b**t**s) aren't here - they are very nice, friendly, welcoming, and courteous! Здорово!
- James JacksonFebruary 9, 2014The beef stroganoff & meat blinis were fantastic. The small table in the window to left of the front door are great for conversation and privacy in an otherwise lively and bustling atmosphere.
- Anna CмирноваAugust 29, 2013This is one of my top 10 places in DC - if not for the en pointe Russian dishes (mushroom/herring soledka , vareniki, solyanka, schi, okroshka, caviar) than for the funky venue & lively, fun enviro!
- BettyFebruary 21, 2013My best friend is Russian & I have been to many of her family gatherings & the food was just like there. Guy played the accordion=loud & fun entrainment :) Beff stroganoff is the best! Desert=medovik.
- Katie RussellSeptember 25, 2014This place is amazing! The decor is so unique and classy. Wish we could have tried some of the infused vodkas during happy hour. The duck and pirozhkis were delicious!
- EaterApril 25, 2013If vodka's your poison, Mari Vanna's a place to go. They infuse their own spirits on site. The third floor of the Russian restaurant has more of a lounge feel.
- CarrieOctober 14, 2022The decor was really cute, and the food was super delicious. Had the Siberian pelmini, pirozhki, chicken blini. The medovik for dessert was also great.
- Chris KonecnyFebruary 3, 2016Fantastic! Really neat interior as well. Who knew that my kids would love Russian food...
- BlackBook MagazineJanuary 14, 2013With a menu of 70 Russian vodkas, and a menu stuffed with pierogies, borscht, & beef stroganoff, Mari Vanna is the perfect place to crash for a party with a bunch of friends. Read more
- Seth BannonFebruary 21, 2013This place is a gem. Great ambiance, friendly staff, and good eats. Be sure to try the infused vodkas. Hint: you can taste them before you choose.

- Rana AlsweilemMay 25, 2013Very cool decor. Order the sea bass, beef stragnof, chicken balls and the potato and mushroom dumplings!! Amazing food!!!
- Nick BaroneAugust 12, 2018The savory vodkas are the best. Be sure to try the horseradish and honey pepper (very spicy).
- Sasha is the best bartender! 👍 Napoleon is the best desert. Very friendly atmosphere, tasty Russian traditional cuisine.
- Sandra RubinchikApril 27, 2015Where else in DC can pelmeni melt in your mouth while the Russian version of Tom & Jerry plays silently on a nearby TV?
- NicolaSeptember 14, 2015Only place in the Americas where I can find authentic Siberian pelmeni. Faboulous
- Asri TriesnasariApril 20, 2013Great ambience, delicious food, great service (quick & attentive). Definitely will come back. Pirozhok, chicken tabaka, cherry pie..
- Bruno ZalumDecember 26, 2013Ever dreamt of having a perfect buckwheat beef stroganoff in a Carroll Lewis-èsque dollhouse? If not, think about it and then go to Mari Vanna.
- Ali AuhadeevMay 8, 2013Excellent cuisine, love it very much. If you're looking for a real authentic Borscht - you can find it here.
- Kevin GarnerAugust 11, 2013The infused vodkas are a must try. Blackberry Currant, Pear and Horseradish. All smooth. Awesome place.
- Make sure you try lard (salo). It is great with dark bread and green onions. Their vodka selection is terrific.
- Abrar AlsuwainaApril 7, 2016I liked the desserts, but not the coffee because the coffee menu was limited basically. The service was okay, not special. Music was very loud. For desserts try the Medovik cake and Napoleons cake
- Michael CoxMarch 19, 2015Gotta try this place for homey russian vittles. Wednesday are a good low key night.
- Bitches Who BrunchJune 14, 2015The Bitches say: C+. Above average for a buffet, just so-so overall. We enjoyed the immersion in Russian culture and the charming patio. Read more
- Divya MoolchandaniOctober 22, 2013Get the house infused vodka! It was a little expensive but I'll be back.
