- Anna FahlmanSeptember 1, 2014Great food, location and service! Best place in Palo Alto and close to Stanford University - don't miss it!
- Marc KatsambisJanuary 24, 2019A beautifully presented bakery & cafe. Enjoyed the Omelette Ranchero, but was disappointed with my bowl sized latte. Good coffee in the US is few and far between.
- It's really hard to find a better cafe for breads & pastries, fresh food and great coffee all under the same roof & shady oak. One of my favourites on the Peninsula
- Tom MaxwellJune 7, 2020Really nice carrot soup. The greyhound’s tooth cocktail was nice as well! A bit pricey but really friendly servers
- One of the few places around with mini baguettes, perfect for those times when you can't finish a whole one before it turns into a rock.
- Tummy boner: crispy rabbit rillette in rabbit jus, bavette steak in bonito bagna cauda, drunken bourbon bread pudding.1 of the best meals I've had in a while. Warm, inviting, and great service 2 boot.
- Jorge FimbresAugust 15, 2015The Rotisserie chicken is so tender in the salad, it's delicious. If you are very hungry, this is a small portion.
- Gabriella CalvoDecember 11, 2010Best restaurant I've been too in awhile. EVERYTHING we ordered was amazing and perfectly cooked/baked. I would be more specific but I get the feeling everything on the menu is just as great.
- Amy MatsunoSeptember 14, 2013I want to ask them what brand of panini maker they use because even a simple ham and cheese panini was cooked to perfection. Crispy, good ridge width, warmth, yum!

- MAGGIE WietingMarch 20, 2013Have their Farmer's Weekly Lunch prixe fix. All carefully chosen ingredients for a truly delectable concoction of chef's best fresh flavors
- Go for the faro as a change of pace to pasta. You won't be disappointed.
- Gilt CityApril 1, 2011The local purveyors who supplied the ingredients for each item are listed directly on the menu: some well-known sources include Mariquita Farm, Cowgirl Creamery, Niman Ranch and Fulton Valley Farms.
- Jennifer YihJune 16, 2011$12 mimosa? Absurdly overpriced. $12 pulled chicken sandwich with brie and smoked bacon? Much better and amazingly delicious. Loved the tasty pickles that came with it too. Staff very courteous!
- Catherine M. 🍷July 13, 2013The high noise level is perfect when you have small children. Enjoyed a lovely french toast and basic breakfast despite a cold noisette.
- Rob. ArrNovember 24, 2016Ok breakfast... just not particularly worth the $77 for 2 adults & 1 child. Next time we get pastries & coffee and save the omelette for the nest trip to IHOP.
- Orecchiette, Chicories, Prosciutto, Pickled Peppers, Toasted Breadcrumbs
- The weekend brunch is spectacular! The menu rotates, but they have these apple fritters always that are to die for.
- Armelle GoreuxApril 11, 2015Great ciabatta bread. Sandwhic he's are amazing yet expensive. Gets busy in the mornings.
- If you tell your waiter you want to split the appetizer they'll actually bring it out on two plates and you actually get more than if you split it yourself!
- Strozzapreti. Rarely seen in a menu and totally worth a try.
- Gracie Liu-FangJuly 24, 2013Great hot chocolate, especially with a marshmallow. The cookies are amazing; ask them to warm them up for you.
- Jesse JohnstonDecember 15, 2014Pricey (~$20 per person for brunch), but all of the items they serve are local and the quality is second to none.
- Sonia WongNovember 6, 2012Sit at the counter. The servers are the best and its the best way to have a couples meal unless you want to be alone.
- Melissa MirandaAugust 7, 2014The veggie quiche at the bakery is always a hit with our 2 year old. It's heavenly.
- Hot cocoa is delish! Rich cocoa flavor...between a milk and dark chocolate. Very creamy, een with nonfat milk-topped off with a homemade marshmallow. A tad bit on the sweet side...
- Christine YingJanuary 17, 2013Long line at 8:30. A nice break since I missed Caltrain. Definitely get a chocolate croissant.
- Chris KantarjievDecember 8, 2017The space is very appealing, but the service and food are more often a "miss" than a "hit". I keep trying, and keep being disappointed.
- Delicious pull chicken sandwich! Latte was served in a big bowl.
- The bakery part is phenomenal. Amazing cookies. But pretty much everything is great.
- Sit outside, enjoy the people there and bring your dog!
- Thick cut juicy bacon, fresh strawberry jam, latte serve in a bowl, must try
- Genevieve ChanDecember 27, 2011It pays to have dinner here close to closing ... Free bread! They have us three French rolls and three baguettes to take home.
- The farroto with vegetables is a creative vegetarian option. Give it a whirl!
- Try their croissant breakfast sandwiches really delicious
- KKSeptember 15, 2012Ask for baguette vs their regular bread. So much better. In fact, if something isn't right, just ask and they will make it so...love this place.
- Perfect baked goods. An amazing baguette costs less than at Safeway
- Deborah PetersenSeptember 19, 2011The coffee is made by the cup and to die for. The ham and cheese paninis are the best lunch deal.
- Carrot soup is one of my faves. Sit outside with the lighted tree and heat lamps!
- Archit SachdevaNovember 4, 2018Coffee was meh. The fried chicken sandwich was meh. Worst croissant. I’ve had in years. Given the price, would have expected to be a lot better than mediocre.
- The Charles Harris Baker, a thing of beauty, a drink of refinement.
- Great local, organic fare, however their 'Roast' coffee is special and try their croissants and bread
