- Village VoiceJanuary 18, 2013We’ve reviewed all sorts of Barbeque, but none that can so elequently combine the grit of Texas Brisket and Sweet Tang of Carolina pulled pork. Enjoy, and hold onto your napkins.
- Best place to go when you are hungry. All the meats are great. All the sides are great and voluminous. Don't think, just point.
- Wilson ZhouApril 28, 2014Mighty Quinn bills its food as Texalina barbecue, smoked with oak, apple, and cherry wood, the meat is pink, juicy, and practically melting, with perfectly charred, salty-sweet burnt edges.
- Alex EngelAugust 25, 2014All the BBQ is great. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The sides are great too. The line is always really long so try to go at off-peak hours.
- The brisket & the pulled pork are both incredibly well done. And surprisingly, the BBQ sauce is good enough to be worth putting on top. Remember: vinegar slaw, not creamy.
- Time Out New YorkMay 30, 2013When faced with city ’cue, purists are quick to add the begrudging qualifier, “It’s pretty good…for New York.” This low and slow meat haven needs no such addendum—it’s mighty good barbecue, period. Read more
- Meg SheaJanuary 30, 2017So far the brisket and pulled pork are my favorite. Amazing food, fun music, great vibe
- This is among the best BBQ I've ever had. Reasonably priced and shockingly delicious serving Juicy pork, tender brisket and outstanding sides. Especially the sweet potato.
- Sasha TamarinaMarch 3, 2013This place is good for a quick bite and the bbq is not half bad. Great for lunch! But if you want to truly experience delicious bbq, Fette Sau in Brooklyn is the place to go.
- Abena SomuahJanuary 15, 2020I love the ribs and especially the sweet potato casserole. Today I tried their spicy chicken wings .
- Kris NikiMarch 30, 2013A joint where a full rack of ribs is actually a full rack of ribs. Reasonable pricing. Be prepared to wait for a table, or just do what I did: order takeaway and enjoy your feast elsewhere.
- Christian DickmannMay 10, 2015After trying the pulled pork (good too!) definitely go with the brisket. Get the sandwich instead of naked. They are simply the best combo.
- Brisket, Burnt End Baked Beans, Sweet Potato Casserole, Buttermilk Broccoli Salad 💯💯💯
- Christian DickmannApril 30, 2015Brisket sandwich was excellent. I loved the sweet potato casserole, which was quite sweet but delicious. Need to try the pulled pork next.
- Karen VanettaSeptember 3, 2013I'd read a ton of reviews but nothing prepared me for how incredible MQ's food was. Love this joint! Definitely worth a visit! Try the brisket, ends and the sausage!
- Desmond FooApril 25, 2015Pulled pork and burnt ends come with quite a bit of sauce, might want to try asking for it on the side.
- AbbyJuly 15, 2013Pulled pork is better than the brisket. The creamy slaw is perfectly creamy. They have fountain soda. On Sunday if you want a normal wait in line come before 7 to avoid the rush.
- Mikahla VicinoJune 11, 2017Yeah, the pork sandwich was phenomenal. But the mac and cheese, that mac and cheese though - unreal.
- Jon RiceSeptember 8, 2014Get the brisket, it comes with slaw included. Also, baked beans have HUGE pieces of burnt ends mixed in, so worth it.
- Brisket is great. Beef rib is amazing and ginormous, but may be the best. Get with toppings...pickled cukes, onions, and chiles. Respectable slaw as well.
- Ina LiMarch 30, 2015Time and wood, old fashion way barbecued tender ribs make you feel so guilty but keep wanting more! 8 dollars for four pieces
- Kamalesh RaoApril 9, 2013Easily the best pulled pork in NYC. Fellow Southerners, this is probably as close as you're going to get north of the Mason-Dixon. The portions though were slightly skimpy and the sides a bit bland.
- New York PostMay 24, 2013The pulled pork might be the best in the city. Don’t miss perfectly salty, tender spare ribs ($23 per rack), not to mention side dishes like baked beans. Read more
- Fattier half of the brisket, as much bark as possible with the pulled pork, sides of vinegar slaw and pickled red onions... Golden meal.
- Nancy HeOctober 10, 2014Love the brisket especially with the pickled peppers...the spiciness cuts through the richness of the brisket. Downside is no biscuit or corn bread, what?
- Zayed KhanAugust 19, 2013Some of the best wings in town, gloriously smokey, crispy, juicy. Brisket is also perfectly flavoured, though not as consistent ( occasionally a bit dry).
- Serious EatsJanuary 15, 2013Beef ribs, pulled pork, and beans with burnt ends all excel at Hugh Mangum's modern-looking barbecue joint.
- Paolo BaroneMarch 22, 2015Amazing BBQ! Shame I could not go more than once! The brisket in a bun was awesome
- Leslie TengDecember 23, 2015The burnt ends. The brisket. The burnt end baked beans. The slaw. Can't go wrong. (I do want to give their ribs a try though.)
- Daniel BenettiMay 27, 2016Brontosaurus rib was a delicious challenge. The week after I ate it was the only week in my entire life that I dieted.
- After having some of the best BBQ in the USA while living in Kansas City, I can say that Mighty Quinn's is right up there! Love the brisket or sausage!
- What's Good HereAugust 7, 2014Go during lunch to avoid the lines. Get the beef brisket or the "literally" fall-off-the-bone wings.
- Brisket was way too fatty for my taste but the ribs were amazing!!!! The take BBQ sauce is awesome, I can't wait to come back and try the pulled pork
- JamesDecember 24, 2013Portions are smallish but still super tasty and super tender. However, be warned: the chicken wings are not smoked BBQ style, but a buffalo sauce + Thai-style peanuty/sesame hybrid. Unexpected.
- Brad ZachariaFebruary 5, 2013Brisket very tasty. Pickles and vinegar slaw go very well with the fatty meats. Baked beans were excellent. Decent place to bring a stroller and a baby.
- First We FeastAugust 3, 2014All of the hoopla about “real barbecue in New York City” seemed sensational, until New Yorkers got their paws on Mighty Quinn’s at Smorgasburg. Read more
- Heather TJuly 16, 2013The pulled pork (naked) is absolutely incredible. Service is friendly, and prices are fair. The sweetened ginger iced tea is delicious as well.
- Meats are all great. But no free refills on fountain drinks, which is kinda lame. If you need ample soda like me, probably best just to order two up front.
- Chris HAugust 25, 2013These guys are just CRUSHING BBQ. Best I've had in NYC by far. Brisket and burnt ends are out of control good - channeling my inner Guy Fieri
- Yerna GillesSeptember 10, 2014Pulled pork sandwich 🍔🍔🍔 so fuc*ing delicious! Burnt end beans too... Avoid brontosaurus rib, toi much fat and nerves!
- Lee HoffmanMay 14, 2013Brisket (get it lean - tho it wont really be) and baked beans are delicious. The sweet potato casserole is unbelievable.
- Evan FeinSeptember 2, 2013Delicious, but the wait in line at dinner time is sometimes up to an hour, and there's never enough seating. They frequently run out of ribs, too, so have a backup choice.
- Brisket is great! However - ask for the ribs. They have them one time in five which means you will eat alot of brisket.
- Ranu RajkarnikarDecember 13, 2014Wait it out for amazing brisket and ribs. Brisket is so tender. Pickled veggies are great as a side.
- Cadiea SchusterJanuary 13, 2014Upon needing scrumptious sweet potato casserole: Let's go to Quinn's! Upon eating scrumptious sweet potato casserole: Aspflkfpasdasdarjencjale.....so damn good!
- Chet ManciniAugust 6, 2013Go with friends and buy by the pound. 4 of us spent $80 on several pounds of brisket, pork, and sides, and had too much--easily would serve 6.
- thmAugust 6, 2013Really good BBQ!!! Definitely try the perfectly spiced spare ribs and juicy pulled pork.
