Rita's crown is a vineyard that is located at the highest elevation in the santa rita hills, hence the “crown of santa rita”. It sits above seasmoke and mt. Carmel vineyards on the south facing side of santa rosa road

Bright white is made from hand-picked riesling grapes sourced from kick on ranch in the los alamos area of santa barbara county. 2012 was a classic vintage with a fruitful crop and long, warm indian summer that lasted into mid november. The fruit for this wine was whole-bunch pressed, early in the morning to minimize damage to the juice. Only the first (free-run) fraction of the juice was then cold settled and fermented long, cold, and slow in stainless steel. Contact with air was avoided at every step. The utmost care was taken to maximize freshness, purity, and brightness

Grenache is one of the most widely planted winegrapes on earth. Most experts think it comes from spain (garnacha) , others say it’s from the italian island of sardinia (cannonau) . Grenache made its way east, was established in southern france by the 19th century, and is now the dominant variety in most southern rhône wines, like châteauneuf-du-pape. The vines are big and beefy, and need a long growing season to get fully ripe. The grape skins are thin so the wines can be light in color. Grenache usually tastes like berry fruit (raspberries and strawberries) , and can develop intense notes of black currants, black cherries, gingerbread, honey, leather, black pepper, tar, spices and roasted nuts

Come on feel the ‘noise not many people grow counoise. There is very little planted in california… even fewer people bottle this wine as a single variety, so this is a bit special for you my sweet little wine enthusiast
