- phoenix JohnsonAugust 8, 2015It's truly a wonderful place to visit. So many things to see. Great for family outings. Even has painting classes on the ground floor and play center for the kids on the 3rd floor. Highly recommended
- Shay PinckneyAugust 31, 2013I enjoyed the visit.. Very helpful staff..they are transitioning a few exhibits so some spaces were empty.. :/ but its a good reason to go back to this little treasure
- Carl FigueiredoNovember 26, 2014Hidden gem. The Asian exhibits and the Ballentine house are my favorites. Largest museum in NJ.
- There are some interesting sculptures in the garden, as well as Newark's first schoolhouse. A relocatef one room stone structure.
- Guy GonzalezMarch 1, 2010Went for Circus Science and signed up for a family membership. A wonderfully eclectic collection of exhibits!

- The Newark Fire Department Museum is also located here. Accessible via the garden.
