Amtrak to Washington DC usually departs from track 3 or 4
Not a great place to be a pretty young woman. Or an ugly young woman. Or any woman at all. Basically, assume you will be incessantly harassed for the duration of your stay in this lovely public space.
If you don't want to walk up the escalator, stay to the right so others can get past.

Some people haven't learned that you stay to the right on staircases. Teach them, the hard way.
When going to west side of manhattan, always take NJtransit to penn station if there's a train in the next 20 min. way faster than PATH.
@mmm...bellos try a couple of glasses if wine, nachos and wings... The best in the area. Worth every single penny.
THE POPCORN IS GREAT ESPECIALLY WITH CAYENNE PEPPER. GET ON YA TRAIN RIGHT AFTER.

Whatever you do... NEVER take a train headed to NY from Track 2 unless it's an AMTRAK train. You will sit on the NJTRANSIT train for 30 mins longer no matter day or time
The announcer is computerized now and they play contemporary music through the loud speakers.

Don't trust the departure vision board or the announcement. many times I have taken the wrong train for paying attention to them don't as a crew member either they will point you to the board
That amazing smell you smell when you arrive is the pocorn vendor. You can find him right outside of the McDonald's on the ground floor. $1.50 for a huge bag of freeah popped corn.- NJ Transit connection plans are unrealistic during rush hour crowds. Plan for having to wait for the next train.

Their is a man outside claims that he is stuck in Newark asking for money he does it almost every nite!- When walking through main waiting area, hold your nose at all times.
If you're looking for breakfast, skip Zaros and get an egg sandwich from the pizza place next door. They're much better there.
Sketchy homeless people and beggars lingering about. Donate at your own risk. The liquor store is sometimes a godsend, sometimes a potential explanation of the crazy you'll see. Enjoy!
Smells like piss! I'd hold my bags and kept a sharp eye out on your personal belongings! Oh..... And if u dare take a nap! Keep one eye open 😜 lol just saying.

There's an A-Hole that gets on in Harrison that will try to verbally attack you if you even BREATHE to loud while standing next to him! (On the PATH). Kill him w/kindness! LMAO...you'll win that fight
On the double decker trains there are luggage racks above the seats on the top level, but not on the bottom.

If you have time, stop and get your shoes shined and pick up a bottle of wine while you're there...
