- There is no good food in terminal 2. Have dinner before coming to the airport, otherwise is all drink and mostly cold food. 🥴

- Claro GarciaApril 16, 2016Skip the hussle of paper tickets and use the app. You avoid one line only to get to a much longer security line. It's okay just have more than at least 1 hr before boarding. Safe travels
- Main advantage to OAK compared to SFO is fewer fog/flow control delays. Starbucks near gates 3 and 4 has fast service and seating with outlets.

- The free kiosks have a Safari user-agent, but don't be fooled; they're running Windows.
- Best airport to arrive at from the Inland Empire via Southwest at Ontario airport.
- In terminal 1 there is a long quiet walkway to sit and stay cool.
- The JetBlue counter is the very first in Terminal 1. Plan accordingly if you're rolling deep or toting lots of luggage!
- Fly Southwest they have the best terminal here with comfy seats and electrical outlets everywhere. Don't leave security if you have a long wait for your ride all the bars are behind security

- CrystalOctober 21, 2012Middle or left check-in security line is faster. The right is where people with disabilities are likely to jump ahead of the line.
- If coming or going by BART do not forget to have $3 in either cash or BART tickets. They do accept combinations, just so long as it all equals at least $3.
- Jennie McFarlingAugust 20, 2013Tried charging my phone with the USB outlet. Out of 8 I tried, NONE OF THEM WORKED. Was glad I had an elec USB converter.
- Take a picture of the parking area sign where your car is located. For the wifi access through the airport on an iPhone, use Safari to accept the T&C and watch an ad.
- Evan BrynneFebruary 2, 2015It's not the nicest airport, and it's not the most convenient to get to, but it totally makes up for it by almost never having lines at security.
- The pizza spot and the wine bar are pretty good for airport food!
- Best Bay Area Airport by far. Easy. Quick. Clean. Sexy.
- Easy access from the highway and soon from the BART connector.
- Wifi is ok; voice and 3G cell coverage is unreliable at best. Try a pretzel bread breakfast sandwich.
- Jonno NortonDecember 7, 2011Oakland is the Bay Area's, Southwest Airlines hub. It is cheaper to fly SW from Oakland, and there are more flights available.
- There is a pod/room just before the moving walkways to gates 26-32 for breastfeeding/pumping
