HISTORYApril 22, 2010The building opened in 1921, originally named the Hennepin Theater. The ceiling has a dome with 30,000 squares of aluminum leaf. The auditorium & the lobby are actually two separate structures.
Looking for close parking? Literally across Hennepin is a decently cheap underground parking ramp open to the public. Usually it is cheaper than the surface lot just west of the theatre.
It is the most expensive theatre in the cities but every penny spent is well worth it. We've seen a handful of plays here and enjoyed each of them.
Clara ZVAugust 12, 2023Good view and acoustics. The seats on the back no so comfortable but accessible price. I would only add visitors lockers or storage area to leave the items that they don't let you in.

The lower seat numbers are closest to center. For instance, seat 1 in section 2 is better than seat 14 in section 1.
