The building opened in 1921, originally named the Hennepin Theater. The ceiling has a dome with 30,000 squares of aluminum leaf. The auditorium & the lobby are actually two separate structures.
Looking for close parking? Literally across Hennepin is a decently cheap underground parking ramp open to the public. Usually it is cheaper than the surface lot just west of the theatre.
Good view and acoustics. The seats on the back no so comfortable but accessible price. I would only add visitors lockers or storage area to leave the items that they don't let you in.
Buy tickets for events at the Orpheum Theatre in person at the StateTheatre Box Office in advance of the performance or night of at the Orpheum Theatre and don't pay any Ticketmaster fees.
