- LarryJanuary 21, 2013Parihuela was astounding and more then ample. Palta Relleno was exquisito. Fried yuca is crispy, hot and the house sauce is smooth, delicious and bien picante. Recommended. Just not cheap.
- Start with a sangria, the matador combo is enough food for two for two or three meals, and the desserts are great, especially Tres Leches cake
- Vanessa de LeonSeptember 12, 2015Acoustics are terrible. It's really loud but service is solid and food is tasty. Portions are large so be sure to share and eat family style so you can try more than one dish.
- Kimmie OhhAugust 14, 2020Get the madator combo. It’s more than enough for two people. You will have leftovers! Get their sangria too!
- A L.April 15, 2016The take out part of the restaurant across the street is great, they tell you am hour for your order to be delivered but they always arrive within 30 minutes. They're great.
- Ms WineglassJanuary 14, 2013Shrimp and Rice soup was extremely hearty and filling. The Matador combo is a local favorite and a must. Definitely enough for 2 people.
- John PerezAugust 25, 2013Matador Combo was good and large portion for about 3 people. The garlic and green sauce were delicious. Tostones were overcooked for our liking.
- Ms WineglassJanuary 14, 2013Sangria and mojito were good, but what I really enjoyed was the their version of an amaretto sour with passion fruit juice. It was delicious!

- In the mood for a great sangria? Go here. Great food, good atmosphere (although a little loud), but most definatley, the best sangria.
- M BytzJuly 4, 2012Revamp of the original Pio Pio -- humongous space that still manages to be cozy. Matador combo all the way!
- Always give good quantity of food. Waitstaff is always friendly. The place gets really noisy, they need some sound absorption.
- Samanta AquinoNovember 16, 2014The entrée with Shrimp and Avocado was amazing. Palca something it was called.
- Javi SJuly 16, 2012The best chicken in NYC. Sangria is great!! My favorite chicken place in the big apple.
- D.L. WeiJanuary 2, 2013Matador combo only $1 cheaper than ordering them separately, so no need for the combo!!!
- Antonio del RioOctober 3, 2013The chicken recipe and sangria have changed for the worse. Ditch the chicken and get everything else, especially the Jalea.
- Julio MoreiraFebruary 21, 2010Make sure to get the fries and hotdog mix. It's called "salchi-papa" tastes great with the chicken! Also drink the sangria they make it exceptionally well!
- Eric TJanuary 5, 2013Food is great. A bit overpriced. Service is OK. But beware because if you don't leave the suggested tip the waiters will let you know and they'll force you to leave the 18%.

- Ben FortneyJune 16, 2015The chicken's the reason to be here. Live music is loud but lively. Sangria's not worth the price.
- Yes for months was grade B now it's grade Pending ? I was here on Thursday the service was hirrible, the food was NOT FRESH believe me I was customer of Pio Pio once or twice a week. Sorry but NO MORE
- If you're staying in, the rice portion is insanely small. 1 per person. the to-go rice order is extremely generous.
- Cathy EvansSeptember 15, 2010Awesome chicken, avocado salad, and salchi papa, but beware the size of the Sangria pitcher has gotten smaller!
