- My room was very comfortable, a/c, flat screen, and an amazing bed. Outdoor pool is kinda small. The cookies that you get at check-in are great. Hotel is right by the warf and pretty much center city
- Great suite. Quiet. Good price & location. Jacks was good and spa massage was awesome. Staff treated us well. No complaints at all other than wish we had cheaper Internet. Worth the $ to valet park.
- Jetset ExtraSeptember 12, 2013This LEED Silver, eco-friendly hotel teams up with the equally eco-conscious Central Coast winery J. Lohr for dinner. Try a 2012 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc served with smoked salmon Carpaccio. Read more
- Fiona KerrSeptember 7, 2014Great hotel! They upgraded us when we asked :) and the beds + pillows are to die for! Would love to stay longer.
- lizzie💋September 30, 2012Foot traffic is really loud outside our room in the 2nd building. Stay in the main bldg. Cookies at check-in are delish! Comfy bed!
- Courtney SelfJanuary 21, 2013Got a free appetizer in the restaurant by checking in with Foursquare. Ckean, large room. Close to everything...you can walk to the pier, beach, cannery row & aquarium
- Hannah GarciaJuly 8, 2015Overall a gorgeous hotel AND smack dab in the middle of all the attractions we planned to visit. Only drawback was that there was no air conditioning ._. The pool was also a bit small
- Shane BarkerJuly 7, 2014Great rooms and amazing service! It is right next to the Fisherman's Wharf and in the middle of town. Highly recommended!
- Casi GerberMay 31, 2011The couples package with a soak in the tub and a massage was just what we needed! We sipped champagne in the tub and then got amazing massages! Pricey, but worth it! Read more
- Bettina SySeptember 18, 2013Breakfast buffet is fantastic. You must try Jack's famous scone! Delicious and I don't even like scones that much!
- Chris KennedyAugust 8, 2019Lovely hotel. Great breakfast selection to suit everybody. The french toast is the best!!
- Helder AraujoFebruary 17, 2010Ted conference use to be here. The place is great. Just by the wharf and right inside the city center. Drinks and restaurant are great. And they have fantastic omelette for breakfast.
- magda w.July 4, 2016Not sure if worth the 4 stars. Rooms ok but spa and pool facilities are in a separate building - you need to cross a touristy walkway. No bathrobes in the room. Restrooms in public area not maintained
- Jason NothdurftAugust 8, 2010Hotel has a premier location by Fisherman's Wharf and Peter B's Brewery. My room was hot and it was very noisy (because I was above the pool and next to the highway). I wish the Internet was free.
- Heidi TSeptember 8, 2011Room is the furthest away from the elevator and a huge walk. TV does not work. Front desk slow to respond. Otherwise it's a beautiful hotel, Keurig coffee maker in room and a great hair dryer.
- Lizette TresselFebruary 13, 2018They give you warm cookies at check in. Walking distance to the wharf
- KarliAugust 25, 2014The cookie was nice, but the city of Monterey enacted a fee on hotels close to the conference center, which means you pay for a facility you probably aren't using when staying here. AND no free WiFi.
- Tonya WertmanAugust 19, 2013Loudest hotel I've ever stayed at... The seagulls are neat but nosy and vacuuming on our floor at almost 11:00 PM? Not cool!
- Portola Hotel & SpaMay 23, 2012Complimentary valet parking when you dine at Jacks Restaurant or Peter B's Brewpub!
- Viktor MartenssonFebruary 24, 2012$10 for wifi or Ethernet. 1.2 mi walk to aquarium, Nice dinner menu
- Paraiso VineyardsApril 15, 2011Enjoy a glass of local wine from Paraiso Vineyards in Jacks Lounge and Restaurant!
- Erlend BakkeMarch 25, 2012Typical vampire hotel where they charge for everything! Prefer Motel 6 and a dip in the sea to this place. Staff could be more friendly also
- Ron BessSeptember 13, 2013Disappointed in the hotel. Did not receive maid service. Room keys did not work on 2nd day and we were locked out of our room and was charged $17 parking fee each time we left hotel. Will not return.
- Fred ROctober 6, 2013Do not get a room facing Pacific St if you want to sleep. Noise from foot traffic and passing cars is horrible. It's 2am and finally starting to calm down.
- Kerou ChangJune 9, 2011The internet was actually $9.95 per day in the room. Maybe they changed it though :-)
- Stephen SedorOctober 13, 2011There's no A/C here!!! Seriously, for $269 a night make me comfortable in my room.
- Seth TisueMarch 21, 2011Every day you decline housekeeping service, you get a $5 voucher for room service or the restaurant.
