It's a pretty small restaurant, but the food is great. I recommend the Jungle Fried Rice, it's a medium spicy dish and it's very delicious. Have it with some Thai Iced Tea.
Chicken with basil, charred calamari, and noodle dishes are best here. If you get the pad see ew, you can substitute the default vermicelli with the flat rice noodles you're probably used to
Try the beef with chili. Wok-charred beef is tossed w/ kafir lime leaves & green beans, then bathed in a orange-tinted sauce of turmeric & Thai chilies. It’s one of our #100best dishes & drinks 2011. Read more
Regardless of what you end up ordering, this place serves super authenticThai food with very high quality. Wait time could vary, but it's generally long, so be prepared!
best thai noodle joint in town! (& this is said by a thai :) sukhothai egg noodle and ratchaburi egg noodle are my fav. other dishes are great too. always check today's special for something exciting.
Pork and crabdried noodle is so goood($12). Pork noodle soup was rich in flavor but to me the soup kinda tasted like chinese medicine. Thai iced coffee is less sweeter than other places.
As opposed to your more futuristic Thai joints, this 35-seater from David and Vanida Bank of Recipe and Land Thai Kitchen, is meant to evoke Thailand's homier canteens.
To start, I'd recommend the Thai iced tea and chicken curry puffs. As for the entree, the classic pad thai dish was delicious. If you're looking for something light, go with pa-yao beef noodle soup.
Delicious thai food. Nice specials. Chicken curry puffs r beyond words! Always a wait. Less on Sunday afternoon. Wear deo. U sit awfully close to others :)
Try the Ratchaburi Crab & PorkDry Noodles - fried egg, and side of soup not pictured bc i tore through this mother f***er before it hit the table...goddamn love this place!
Not sure if i will remember this spot for the great food ( had the spicy beef salad, iced coffee, and crab & porkdry noodles) or the awfully peculiar thai pop they play.
I come here exclusively for their spicyroast pork soup. It's an awesome alternative to ordering Tom Yum everywhere you go. If there's a line around the corner at Toto Ramen, try this instead.
This place is way cuter than a lot of what you find in the neighborhood. Quaint rustic deco inside and has the feel of a Chelsea or east villagehole in the wall.
Try Sukhothai pork noodle soup ($7 lunch, $9 dinner). "Sweet slices of roasted pork are nestled amongst crunchy long beans and crumbles of ground pork, the dish is lavishly topped with cracklings." Read more
The medium spicy is like burning your tongue. Get it only of you dare to try it!!! The waitress thought we were crazy because we asked for the third option( I.e. extremely spicy)
Decor: 5 Stars, feels just like a noodle shop in Bangkok, loved it. Food: 3 Stars. Doesn't live up to hype. I'm Thai, so bit of a snob. Go to Won Dee Siam a block further btw 52nd & 53rd.
This Thai food is a cut above the regular stuff, maybe two cuts. The crackins are over rated in my opinion but all the food I had was well prepared. Even the condiments provided looked house made.
Btw, did I mention that this is my new go-to Thai place? So good! But can get really crowded at times, especially since the place is small - not good for big gatherings.
