The meatball parm is now $7, but eat half of this hefty sandwich and you're left with lunch for the next day, at $3.50 a meal; definitely still a steal!

I'm one of those people who find the pizza @ New Roma (down the block) kinda disgusting. Rocket Joe's is a solid alternative. A great place to fill your stomach after an LES bar rampage.

Skip the bad slices for the the messy meatball hero, which at $5 for 12 inches of sandwich is one of the cheapest eats on the Lower East Side.
