A very strange airport, NO free wifi and overpriced shops but relatively clean and fast. Be prepared for extra security check at the entrance to building. For cheap transfer to city use bus E11.

one of the greatest places to explore mobbing and string pulling in Turkey
there are many plugs in the terminal. but best place is next to "kahve dunyasi" to charge your mobile or your laptop. (turn left after security check)

K AApril 30, 2011A beautiful, modern and clean airport. Very quiet when we came (Saturday evening flight back to Lurin). Good to see money has been spent improving facilities.
If the check in have been before arriving to departure that you will get time because sometimes inside might be over crowded

José DavidMay 3, 2015Just a fair, small and cozy airport. Duty free is quite limited. Light in the ckin area is not sufficient. Cleanliness is ok. Pax survey tablets do not work fine but it's an ok airport. Damn far!
Alot better than LTBA less crowded and alot easy to detour around to find your way
Free internet-Bedava internet candir kahve dunyasi dis hatlar :-) for free internet at international departure go to kahve dunyasi coffee shop which is near the passport control.

Metehan ErdoğanMarch 21, 2016Fast security check. The farthest gate is only 5 Not very crowded except holidays. City center is 30 mins away. You can only use buses or taxis. No underground train till 2018. Have a nice journey!
Starbucks is more comfy than the lounge, make sure u leave early, there might always be traffic before entry

HghJuly 13, 2019Whenever I fly from or to Sabiha Gokcen we have an issue.Today we are on board and we do have a delay for 30mins. Why? There is a construction work on the taxi way..! This is an international airport!
Crowded but efficient, have a certain amount of shops & I noticed a digital boarding machins
There is too much options inside of the airport but before flight a cup of wine and some light food is always good inside of the airport

Always the worst airport experience. Overcrowded all the time. Checking-in and passport control takes ages. Go really early or get a fast track pass.

Jorge ScharoApril 22, 2017Yes, it is clean. Anyhow I would prefer to skip it as much as possible, in transit check in and security is always a mess. Not enough places to seat and food is indeed expensive.
WiFi is for a fee, u can pay if you have a Turkish number. Otherwise it is a problem. But after the passport control u can find cafes which propose wifi, that can help your waiting for the flight
Semih DeliveliMay 15, 2016Try to avoid SAW although flights are cheaper. There is always a delay. My 23:55 flight is delayed by 2 hours 5 minutes because of traffic. Why they are adding new destinations is a big wonder?!
