- Ray LopesAugust 28, 2016One of a kind Lamb Burger. Local beers. Products sourced from sustainable Texas ranches (as they say) and mouth watering meats at the butchery shop (makes you feel like BBQing), awesome place!
- Austin ChronicleSeptember 4, 2013Calling all meat lovers! This charmingly retro artisan shop sells fresh cuts of locally sourced meats, sausages, salumi, and charcuterie, as well as fresh-baked goods and some prepared foods. Read more
- Great butchers with a fantastic store full of grains, tinned fish, and local produce. Sit at the bar for great beer and wine. Burger is among the best in town and brunch is spectacular.
- EaterJanuary 7, 2014Salt & Time offers a mean brunch and lots of meaty sandwiches for lunch. Their dinner service is one of Austin's best deals for high-quality charcuterie and steak. [Eater 38 Member]
- Jose MagallanesMarch 22, 2016Butcher and market side: Awesome. Dining/service side: sucks. If you want to know what if feels like to be a background character on some crappy show about waiting tables and a bar, give it a try.
- David SelfSeptember 14, 2013Great people. I don't eat bread and they were more than willing to accommodate. Pulled pork was amazing. Definitely coming back! And they have a bar. Cool feel for a butcher shop. Not expected.
- The Wall Street JournalMay 14, 2015If it’s too hot to grill outside yourself, grab a seat at Salt & Time’s restaurant, where the emphasis is on farm-to-table wholesomeness. Read more
- Alex PyatetskyJanuary 6, 2020Solid meat and veg dinner spot. Had sausage plate w kraut and cauli. Cauli kind of meh, everything else 👍👍. Want to come back to charcuterie and maybe steak.
- Incredible selection of natural, organic and dry farmed wines from around the world with an incredibly knowledgeable staff.
- MarcJanuary 4, 2016Marc E: Eater "21 Essential Hamburgers of America" '15: Butcher Burger is constructed w/leftover trimmings, served w/aioli and tomato jam. "Don't forgo the 'nduja for spicier kick"
- Superb. They're just getting their legs under them so when you come in, imagine you're in a general store/butcher/tavern in the early 1900s, talk to people, and enjoy the scene.
- The butcher burger is possibly the best thing to ever grace the planet. Get some of the brioche rolls to go with it -- cannot go wrong!
- Good brunch, better lunchtime sandwiches plus good beer curation. The burger is great if they have it on the menu.
- Serious EatsMarch 5, 2013Inside butcher and salumeria Salt and Time you'll find roaster Cuvee Coffee's first retail location.
- Christopher HorsleyJuly 12, 2013Delicious roast beef sandwich. Meat selection looked good so will have to go back to get steak and fajita meat!
- RachaelAugust 8, 2014Friendly service, cool layout; the meatball sub was a perfectly portioned, comforting lunch.
- They really know meat. They really know beer. They really know coffee. What else do you need to know?.
- Phillip YennerellNovember 23, 2013Besides all the great salumi, try a glass of wine or beer on tap. They find really ones!
- Rosalyn RojmarSeptember 21, 2013If you leave without getting at least a half pound of coffee loma, you're an idiot.
- Super yummy sandwiches and beer, but the service wasn't great.
- Julius TarngOctober 22, 2015Huge cafe. The sausage "sandwich" is just a hot dog - they don't make it very clear. Also the egg salad ran out before noon :(
- marshall wrightApril 3, 2013Don't forget to grab soppresseta and smoked meat snacks for the ride home.
- Apryll AndersonSeptember 28, 2013The butchers are knowledgeable and their cured meats aren't SUPER SALTY... YAY
- AmateurConciergeJuly 4, 2020Decent burger, passable fries and a wholly unacceptable grain salad that is reprehensible
- The best. Butcher, eatery, drinks! Nothing quite like it in Austin.
- $94 for 4 drinks and a can of sardines with stale crackers. This place has gone downhill.
- Chris RobertsonApril 24, 20133.0 Butcher + Coffee.. Only other in the world I know is in Fairlight, Australia. Love it!
