- Abraham MoralesJuly 25, 2017I think this place has a lot of unfair reviews. I found beautiful spaces, gardens and pools, pretty ok food at the restaurant, enjoyable vintage atmospheric music and really nice rooms.
- ShaneNchrystal Hackney-BowersNovember 19, 2013Don't look behind your bed! Rooms need updating. Property sits on 44 acres and has beautiful flowers and plants. Within walking distance of the Fashion Valley Mall. Tax and tourism fees add up!
- Amy BeckwithOctober 8, 2013Its old, you can get lost, and there may be no WiFi. Its oldness gives it character and beauty. We may get lost but they do give us a very detailed map. You can get a password for wifi. I love it.
- Stephen LeeOctober 29, 2013There's a creepy picture of a little girl in a blue dress in EVERY room and she just stares at you. Not for the easily spooked. We covered her with a towel.
- Coreena MainMarch 28, 2015If you can't walk up stairs be sure they put you on the first floor or in a part of the hotel with a elevator. In a very large place and not all of it has elevators.it can be very hard to find your wa
- Wi-Fi is included in hotel price and connects automatically (no need for a password). The property is huge and the parking is $10/day and rather limited. It was an SDCC pick for me, may go back.
- Frank Cedillo (Twiztid Ducky) 🧢🦆January 30, 2013OK so I stayed here in July with my girlfriend and her parents there Methodist pastor's and had a conference here any way good food clean room nice staff the concierge was vary helpful
- Have a conference here? Stay at one of the hotels and walk! They charge for parking, WiFi & other things that hotels in walking distance offer for free! Great Property otherwise!
- There is a foot bridge on the north side of the property that is a short cut to the trolley and fashion valley mall. Rooms are ok and clean, but it's like you're staying at grandma's house.
- Some great food on the property, great proximity to San Diego attractions, beautiful pools and landscaping.... such a great value!
- Gorgeous grounds, clean rooms. The place shows its age a bit, but only in the most charming ways.
- Huge hotel, very spacious and great to be outdoors year-round.
- Great place to stay and also for Folk Dance Festival. Cool place
- john chargingSeptember 28, 2014Great property for price! Older but clean and well kept. Pool, Spa Service, public transit and mall are ez acess.
- AT&TSeptember 15, 2011Another great reason to stay here: AT&T Wi-Fi is one of the many amenities here for guests. It’s fast and easy to connect.
- Like something out of a 1960s allegorical horror movie. Expect a horde of zombies to shamble across campus, moaning warnings about excessive devotion to consumer culture.
- Stay in one of the rooms on the first floor. They have sliding glass doors that lead directly to the pool.
- Visit the Gift Shops, one in the Lobby another between the pool and resort towers in the back!
- San Diego's Bowl GamesDecember 17, 2010Ask for the Kick-Off Bowl Package at the Town and Country Resort Hotel, minutes to the stadium & downtown by trolley. Call 800-772-8527.
- Henrique PintoFebruary 12, 2017Paid a little more for a "gardens view" apartment. Was this the view? What a joke. Also, the apartments are old and they charge $20 for parking and exiting the parking lot is slow.
- Ashley BensonSeptember 17, 2011They much have gotten a discount on this picture because it is in almost every room and in some of the hallways. This hotel freaks me out!!!!
- meniscuszine.comOctober 28, 2012Site of the 2012 San Diego Asian Film Festival Gala Awards Dinner, MC'd by Randall Park and featuring guests such as George Takei and Jamie Chung.
- For events the underground has a stairwell & elevator on the West wall
- Trevor StaigerNovember 13, 2011Take some time to go to the top floor and admire the view at dawn and dusk.
- Geoffrey LongJuly 26, 2011Irritatingly, there are no safes in the room and their insurance policy "won't let them" store laptops in the safety deposit box advertised at the front desk. If you are traveling with any sensitive Read more
- JamesSeptember 30, 2011Not a bad place, but 1989 called and want their furnishings back....I am impressed with the bathrooms, but beware of a little girl in a blue dress staring you down
- NickSeptember 3, 2013This place is horrible. The security guards go through your stuff when you aren't around, they charge you a 50% fee to check out early and the sell leftovers from Holiday Inn at a buffet for $12.
- LindseyMarch 26, 2010Quite a time warp! If u like vintage, check it out. But beware of bizarre charges and a lack of modern ammenities like docking stations, wifi, etc.
- Scott "Q" MarcusJuly 9, 2012If you like being told "you have to understand we're busy" and never getting an estimate for how long it will take to get someone to you room and old furnishings and horrible service - this is for you
- Misty CamposMarch 6, 2015The room is old and smelly, the carpet is crunchy and the bed is uncomfortable!
- Katherine BorgesAugust 14, 2011Ordered lg pizza from Bariano's flyer under door. After 50 mins I called again & was told they were just leaving. Also had to ask for cell phone discount. Pizza ok, I've had abt the same from Costco.
