- Penang char kway teow is really good, though fish cake is a bit spongy & squid a bit rubbery. There's a good smoky wok flavour & it's a big portion. It even comes on some banana leaf. No chili though
- DioneFebruary 17, 2013Make sure you try the Mango Salad, Sambal Shrimp and Indonesian Fried Rice. It's absolutely delicious! It's a marriage of sweet, salty and spicy!
- Balacan Mix Veggie good, with good mix of vegetables (not Western vegetables like broccoli & peppers either) & some wok flavour; somewhat spicy. Nonya Kuih pretty good. Fragrant & texture pretty good.
- Satay Chicken pretty good. Tender, good quality meat & flavour right, even if charcoal would've elevated it. The sauce had a good flavour, though I like mine with more texture. It wasn't spicy
- Oyster omelette ok. A bit thick, fluffy, not crispy. Thick sweet chill sauce, not sour. Quite a bit of grit. Cendol good. Grass jelly may surprise. Rich coconut milk, enough palm sugar but no red bean
- Curry Chicken good; cut right (bone in) & taste authentic (but not spicy). Roti pretty good: quite crispy & flaky, though on drier side. Garlic Chili Fillet ok - very pedestrian dish (barely spicy)
- Butter Prawns were pretty good - the flavour of the dish was on the lighter side, but the prawns were pretty large & fresh. The browned grated coconut was decent. It didn't have any chili padi - YMMV
- Tahu goreng had silky tofu & good sauce; Sambal kang kong decent - some smoky wok flavour. Sambal right but toned down; Hainanese chicken probably Hainan style - ok taste but yellow, tough, quite bony
- Bruce FongApril 12, 2014Singapore laska: coconut based soup filled with thin noodles, chicken in a yellow curry sauce. Comes with roti bread.
- Penang (assam) laksa was a large portion. It came with beancurd skin & beansprouts but no pineapple. It was super spicy & not sour enough (too little assam aka tamarind). There was enough fish
- Apam balik (ban chang kueh) good: pretty thin but not super thin. Has tasty creamy sweet peanut filling. Crispy edge; Grass jelly drink was pretty good. It looks dilute but the concentration is ok.
- JessicaAugust 10, 2013MUST TRY: Singaporean Laksa. the vermicelli just soak up all the soup. rly rich & flavourful! other dishes came out semi-cold for some reason =(
- Try Singapore Laksa if you love very spicy and rich soups! My absolute fave.
- Anil WijesooriyaJanuary 4, 2016Roti canai with chicken curry, hainanese chicken with rice, teh tarik
- Mee Goreng was decent. There was quite a lot of shrimp & the flavour was there. Nasi Goreng was so so. Nothing to shout home about. Neither was spicy though
- ChristineNovember 28, 2011Over 300 items on a super affordable menu! Definitely try the curry chicken roti!
- Shurraj RaoApril 1, 2016Sure this place might have some nice food but the prices for some of them are just ridiculous. In what sense does a thin and small 'apam balik' should cost 5 bucks?
- The beef brisket isn't that good.. The brisket is rather tasteless and it's like they spent too much time boiling them.
- Anthony LJune 16, 2013Be prepared to wait a very long time for your food. Service is extremely slow.
