It is definitely one of the best Unagi that I’ve had. The burnt taste on it was on point and you need to try eating in 3-4 different styles as per the guide. -Penang Kia Food Critique-
Great 'Hitsumabushi' (Nagoya's famous eal rice bowl.)!! On Thursday around 2pm, we got in smoothly without being in line. Usually on weekends, there's a huuuge line. No reservation allowed.
The grilled unagi has an intense smokiness and the meat just melts in your mouth. Goes extremely well with the freshly grated wasabi. Be prepared for a long wait (~1.5hr) which is totally worthwhile.
The unagidonburi is delicious, with juicy eel and a smoky aroma. If you’re in Nagoya, try the Hitsu-mabushi (regular size 4,600 yen) at Matsuzakaya, 10th floor.
Smokey, yummy unagi that tastes like it has barbacued over charcoal. Expensive but recommend the hitsumabishi because it is a multi-step, full culinary experience.
히츠마부시를 먹을 때 4등분해서 첫번째는 밥과 장어를 덮밥처럼 재료 본연의 맛을 느낀 후, 두번째는 와사비, 김, 쪽파를 뿌린 후 비벼서, 세번째는 다시국물에 부어서 오차즈케로, 마지막은 세가지 방법중에 젤 맛있었다고 느낀 걸로 다시한번 먹으면 된다..기다린 시간만큼 3,100¥ 이라는 가격 이상의 맛을 느낄 수 있다...
