    ここは昔、藍染川と呼ばれる小川が流れていました。川に蓋をして、今のよみせ通りができました。今でも暗渠として、流れているそうです。よみせ通りの名の由来は、読んで字のごとくで、かつてよみせの市が立っていたからです。
