Huge, many great stalls but A Noodle Story deserves a special mention for their Singapore-style ramen, which sounds like a ridiculous idea but turns out to be very tasty and value for money.
Try Noodle Story / Authentic Thai (pictured - everything they make is incredible - Thai cook!) or Hong Kee Beef Noodle. Make sure u save a seat w a pack of tissues-it can get packed. Prepare to queue!
Wantan mee: There r 2 WTM stalls facing ea other on 2/F. Wah Kee's dumplings r bigger. Char siew (BBQ pork) slices r thicker too. These make their noodle dish something more substantial to bite in2
Hakka Curry from Happy Yummy #02-128 is served with deliciously crispyfried chicken. Curry is made without coconut milk/cream, which is only poured over rice. This $5 plate served with fried egg
Fried fish lala pao fan. Fell in love with the soup flavours from Le Kitchen Seafood Pao Fan #02-120. Drank up most of the soup from this $5.50 bowl. Then we ordered another home! 😂
Braised duck noodles $4. The feature at Kim Men Seng Heng #02-133 is the light yet fragrant chilli to be mixed with the noodles. Yummy. Then there’s a separate smoky dippingchilli sauce for the meat
Traditional kaya toast. Ah Seng (Hai Nam) Coffee #02-95 prepares this local favourite over a charcoal stove. Visit early (they open from 5:30am) to get a distinct whiff of smokiness in the air
Pork Ribs Lamian ($5). 三好骨汤面 (San Hao Gu Tang Mian) #02-132 is garnering fans. Ordered the original & was rewarded with flavourful soup stock. Lean pork cuts. Generous cabbages. Mala option available

Bak chor mee 2: Ah Ter 01-14 serves a decent bowl with a variety of ingredients (fishball, sliced fish cakes, pork & liver, stewedmushrooms). Wasn't impressed overall, for all the hype & PR it got.
Spoilt for choice hawker centre (Tanjong Pagar Mrt exit G). Avoid lunch time peak hours (12-2pm) and it will be a lot more pleasant. Other than old favorites, can even find Costa Rican cuisine here!
Chilli ban mian. Enjoyed a mid-sized bowl ($5.50) from Mdm Leong Traditional Ban Mian #02-209. Well-presented overall. Chilli was spicy. Meatballs & ‘tau ki’ (beancurd skin) tasted processed
Vegetarianbee hoon. Nothing memorable from non-descript stall #01-44 Healthy Vegetarian (No Garlic & Onion). This plate of noodles with bean curdchips & curry $3. Added a serving of vege +$1
Vietnamese drip coffee $2.20. Vietnamese stall Life Coffee #02-134 offers this as well as banh-mi. Premium coffee did not wow me over, although it has a hint of the aromatics. Perhaps it was diluted
Sarawak Laksa. Memorable $6 bowl from Swan City Noodlehouse #02-105. Enjoyed the uniquely thick & aromatic gravy. Not overly spicy. Would order again 👍🏼
Bak chor mee (minced pork noodles): Yummy BCM meal @ #02-101. Noodles were 'q' (springy), sliced liver was fresh, & sauce was well-balanced with vinegar. Wd eat this again!
Ah Ter's on level 1 has some of the best minced meat noodles you can find around here: think springy noodles soaked in an umami sauce, a tasty broth with some choice morsels, and an unbeatable price.
Order the Black Pepper BeefRice from the "Pepper Bowl" stall (#02-102); top up 60cents for an onsen egg! Avoid lunch timing as this place is popular among the office workers from the area.

#stervylicious #longtong - best day! Had a great cooling morning over lontong brekky.... Initially when I saw the dish with plain gravy, wasn't impressed... But. Can try for juz $2.50. :)
Ah Ter Teochew Fishball Noodles: buy the set with soup - it's not your usual soup! Hoo Kee Bak Chang on first floor is the only bakzhang in SG I've tried that's comparable to my grandma's! Super legit
Curry rice. As a 'chai png' (economic rice) stall, Yuguo Curry Rice #01-13 has limited dishes. However, pork chop & stewedvege were decent. Curry is aromatic & not spicy
Wantan noodles ($4). Decent plate from Wen Xiu Ji #01-31. Char siew (BBQ pork) slices were tender. I didn’t enjoy the thicker skin on the wantans, nor their firmer pork filling
