Visitors to Austin should visit the Bar & Terrace. Sit on the terrace above lively Congress Ave. and enjoy the view of the Capitol and downtown. Great scenery, drinks and atmosphere.

The upstairs lounge area right outside the ballrooms is a really great place to check e-mail and get caught up on work in between sessions. Comfy and calm - so different from the Convention Center!

In the heart of the downtown entertainment district, the Stephen F. Austin offers a old-style luxury stay. The Roaring Fork restaurant and Stephen F’s Bar & Terrace within the hotel are worth a visit.

Love staying here but two things disappoint me. 1) no free wifi (I'm an IC ambassador but not royal ambassador), 2) with the rates they charge you'd think they could afford HD LCD TV's not tube.

Having drinks on the Balcony on a nice day is one of this highlights of Austin. Well worth the pricey drinks.

Low floor rooms Eg 3 can pick up the hotel free wifi. Above that get your wallet out and be prepared to pay LOADS
