On the Cambridge to KGX line. Good services to London but pick carefully as some have limited stops. Others stop every station to town.

Easier to switch to the tube at Finsbury Park, rather than riding all the way to Kings Cross. Down stairs, turn left, then right onto (long) spiral staircase. Victoria or Piccadilly lines easy.

When will the rail business deliver a reliable service. I bought a ticket then had to get a taxi to Hitchin because the train suddenly goes from 5 minute delay to delayed?

07:47 and 08:27 trains are always crowded. If you need some rest and a place to sit, get the 07:57. Just one extra stop before kings cross.

If you get the 709, the front few carriages actually have more seats than the back

As of 22/11/11 major improvements on the station have been done. If u were used to get on the last two carriages to get off in front of the stairs, this is no more valid as platform has been stretched

La Tasca (tapas bar in station!) is remarkably nice - quiet - despite looking from the outside like it's in the carpark!

On any 8 carriage train, go to the back carriage. It's almost always empty and you're practically guaranteed a seat

If you travel lots but not daily - look at carnet tickets - c£70 for 10 singles which you can use any time for 3 months - just write date - no more queueing!

Main gate closes at 7pm. If you are leaving late you can walk in but the lateral entrance on the left.
