We got to taste the shrimpdim sum, the pork bun, sesamesweet bun, beefdim sum. The shrimp dumpling/dim sum was full of just shrimp and nothing else added = amazing. I am still salivating over it! Read more
I've just spent 3 nights in Ipoh staying in Hotel Excelsior which was great. We met a friend for dim sumlunch and we came here (Foh San). It was excellent - great food, great value, great service!
The service is brisk as it has to be in such a popular place. The Dim Sum portions were generous and flavorful.Prawn Dumpling is queen.Char siu Bao & Big Bao are the knights. Can't live without them.
Clean, elegant dining area. Nice grand stair way to the main dining area upstairs and attentive service. Priced reasonable and decent portion for lower dim sim menu selection. Plenty of varieties. Read more
My favorite that morning was the Cha Xiu Bao(Pork bun). It was definitely hot and freshly-made. I'm not really understanding why a couple of the other reviews sucked! As Chinese, we loved this place. Read more

Dim sum still ok but those waitress always show black face seem like you're own them one million ringgit, environment quite comfortable but the prawn chee cheong fan vry thick as you can see below.
I can never find dim sum as good as Foh San in Singapore, NEVER! Whenever I'm in Ipoh, Foh San must visit every Sunday morning. Agree with Stewart T, the Char Siew Pau and Siew Mai is my favorite!
One of Ipoh and Malaysia's most famousDim Sum. All the Dim Sum served here are fresh and delicious to eat. A lovely place to dine in but you must go early in the morning to avoid the heavy crowd.

Gynard, Pei Yi and I went to famous Foh San for brunch today. We tried their new dish, stewed beef in dry noodles, Taiwanese style. I would rate it as “super nice”.
Everything is self service except for drinks. Some station only has certain item, it's best to go downstairs station to get everything, it's mostly stocked there. Prepare to walk and carry alot.
Thanks Stewart for your recommendation. I brought my family of 7 to this dim sum place and they ate almost all of the selections. Great choice Stewart.
Trolley service and waiter service available on weekdays. Waiter service available everyday. Fun and nice place to eat, especially the roast pork noodle. yummi mummi...
Their staff face all look like not happy.if u sit at 1st floor and not that much ppl on weekday . Need to watch up due to their steam dim sum skin will be hard abit bcoz of put at there long time.
Some slight improvement since the last i came. The size of the dim sum seems to be a tad larger given they charge exorbitant prices. Taste is good especially the loh mai gai.
Dim sum was average. Prawn Dumplings and EggsTart is a must try. Fried carrot cake is not bad. The Char Siew Bau was not my taste. Taste weird. Is totally different.
