Smitten Ice Cream

Smitten​​ combines a silky smooth malted brown sugar ice cream base with chunks of freshly-made cookie dough (egg-free!) filled with salty pretzels and tiny Guittard chocolate chips.  This is the most irresistible combination of salty and sweet so no wonder it is the best-selling flavor at Smitten shops in San Francisco!  Props to you if you can put this pint back in the freezer after opening it up…

Smitten’s classic chocolate ice cream gets the upgrade with Guittard® Chocolate Company’s 61% Cacao. The fifth generation Bay Area brand takes a hands-on approach to crafting new blends while using heritage techniques and original recipes—all with the goal of honoring the full flavors of the cacao. We add a little extra fudgy flavor with Guittard® Cocoa Rouge and melt it down into a rich, dare we say decadent ganache. From there the real magic begins – Brrr® freeze the base into a heavenly scoop unlike any other. This is a modern take on an ice cream classic that will change everything you think you know about chocolate ice cream!

Bee Sting is our sweet ode to the hardest working creatures on the planet - honey bees. We partnered with third-generation beekeepers at Chico Honey Co. to source monofloral honey made from the nectar of a Hawaiian pepper tree. We infuse this pure, unfiltered honey with a blend of four types of chilies before combining it with our fresh milk & cream, creating a sweet and spicy honey ice cream our hardworking bees would be proud of.

Sustainably-sourced strawberries at their peak of flavor are pureed with organic sugar to create an epically flavorful strawberry jam and then blended with Perfect Day™ clean-label base. The result is a taste that reminds you of fresh strawberries dipped in cream, lactose-free and vegan without the sacrifice in taste.

This is our jazzed-up version of a classic caramel.  It has a deep caramel flavor, not overly sweet, and is accented with molasses from the brown sugar.

This garnish is extremely fresh and light. Our whipped cream is lightly sweetened with cane sugar.

We make our egg-free cookie dough from scratch using plenty of brown sugar, chocolate chips and pretzel pieces.

All natural sprinkles (no artificial food coloring here!) add a little color and crunch to any scoop.

Very rich and creamy, we use coconut milk and Valrhona cocoa powder in this dairy-free treat.
