- Joanna Fazlie ColomasApril 17, 2015The best French restaurant out of France. The chef belongs to Victor Hugo family (that's what attract me). N no any disappointment. Good service and exceptional food. Ask for add a cheese plate (22$)
- Emily P. 💠May 5, 2016I would definitely go back. Repetitively. From the bread to the appetizers and main course hit the spot. The branzino, scallops and dessert were all amazing.
- Wayne BennettNovember 12, 2014I have never eaten in the restaurant, but I go into their take out cafe all the time. Rotisserie chicken, quiche and that Holiday Pecan pie. Wow! After 6pm 2 for 1.
- The outdoor seating is perfection! The service here is impeccable and the brunch menu is to die for! Best Lemon Ricotta pancakes around! Reasonable prices, especially for midtown. I HIGHLY recommend!
- Gajtana SimonovskaFebruary 5, 2017Good French place. Moderate/higher price like most French in NYC. You get what what you pay for- good wine, French onion soup, ambience, and service.
- Emi SuzukiApril 26, 2014salmon ceviche, scallops with pumpkin sauce and floating island for dinner. always my go to. not a steak person but supposedly the filet flambé is great.
- Caroline McBrideSeptember 26, 2011Food is unbelievable, start with cheese puffs and order the tomato tart and tuna tart for the table. The salmon ceviche is incredible. AMAZING food! Chef Florian V. Hugo is very talented!

- meli g.February 16, 2013Delicious. Loved being sat by the window. The hanger steak was perfect and the fries were to die for! Will definitely return.
- Delicious pastries!! Forget the pastry basket that includes a muffin and brioche, and order 6 croissants, chocolate croissants, apple turn overs, and raisin danish a la carte! :)
- Martin AssmannDecember 14, 2014The home made and hand cutted french fries they serve with most menus are really good!
- Gilt CityJune 1, 2011Over 100 cognacs are available by the glass—and many are used in dishes like salmon ceviche with endives and dill-and-lobster flambé with sautéed potatoes and green peppercorns.
- Fabienne AApril 4, 2013I don't know about the food, but the cocktails are major! They use better-than-average, crisp wine for white sangria. Even virgin mojitos rock!
- VitalyJanuary 5, 2014I liked this place a lot. Great service, amazing food, fair prices. Highly recommend.
- SparkieSeptember 26, 2012Midtown West: Enjoy the great ambiance and a $21.95 Prix Fixe brunch! One drink. One appetizer. One brunch item.
- Make this your regular coffee spot and the 10th one is free plus one of their famous croissants.
- Pearl TheatreSeptember 29, 2011The Pearl Theatre Company hosted 3 opening night parties here. This is a great place to dine and/or drink before and after a Pearl show.
- WP TheaterMarch 19, 2013Where do you go to unwind after a stressful day? At WP, we love Brasserie Cognac’s delicious food and even more delicious wine!
- Tarah FeinbergNovember 22, 2014Really tasty burger. The fondue is delicious and just keeps on giving.
- Order the Tuna Tart. Enough for 2 people. My favorite appetizer! Also the coconut shell for dessert.
- Tina HahnJune 5, 2013Oysters were good. Larson Frisée - let's just say there's a reason one serves Lardon warm, cold fat is not good. First time I actually left lardons on my plate, and the bulk of it at that. TRAVESTY!
- John BentzNovember 20, 2010Tonight, 11/19/10: Food was excellent, service was unbelievably poor. Nonattentive waitress who seemed oblivious and didn't seem to care. The trio, however (keyboards, bass and drums): superb!
- Austin EsecsonJanuary 23, 2013Everything (ex the chicken) in the bakery is buy-one get-one free after 7pm
- Wilson ZhouOctober 21, 20152015-2016 Carnegie Hall Concert Season, 20% off food and beverages for members.

- The Boulangerie next to it, same owner, has the best croissants and lattes. Real French style.
- Great lunch , very consistent food without pretense or attitude .
- Random House Publishing GroupApril 14, 2011Get the Chicken Salad. We call it the "magic salad" because it's so good.
- Guillermo BriseñoNovember 4, 2016We never tried it. The service and the attitude of the woman in charge is so poor and so negligent that we just decided to leave. Don't come here unless you like to be mistreated.
- Wilson ZhouDecember 5, 2017The servers in this bar are the racist and snobbiest ones I have ever encountered. The service was too bad to qualify itself as a French restaurant or they are “fake news.”
- Alex ZaltsmanJuly 30, 2010Food was excellent! Had the mussels and halibut. Service was great as well.
- Love the blueberry muffins. IDK how they are able to keep the blueberrys so juicy
