    The Sopranos happened here. Tony Soprano takes Mercedes car saleswoman, Gloria Trillo, here on a date and things get a little hot in the reptile house.

    Find the Jungle World building in the Asia section. Very low profile entrance but it's huge and amazing. End up deep down at the Jungle Waterfall room with underwater view of huge fish

    The good thing about coming on Wed... Admission is free. The bad thing about coming on Wed... It's so damned crowded you wished you'd paid to come another day.

    They close @ 5 on week days so plan accordingly... I paid for a FULL FUN DAY & ended up with disappointed kids who wanna come back!

    I've seen more wildlife in my backyard. We came on a Tuesday and the animals were hiding. Prob best to go on weekends

    Wednesdays although its free admission, the zoo gets extremely crowded with camps.. Recommend for any other day of the week!

    The Bronx Zoo houses more than 6,000 animals and over 600 unique species. The zoo employs 750 full time staff each year. What a busy place!

    The admission price is getting very expensive. I don't like that they charge extra for all the different activities. I have already paid a small fortune to get in.

    I still like the Queens zoo better. But the Bronx has the most animals.

    Take the express bus from Manhattan...much better than the subway. Also, go on a weekday in the Spring if you can. You'll avoid the crowds.

    Wednesday is a free day, but too crowded. All animals are too far to be seen. Waste of money if you go during other days.
