Great local gym with many classes. Much better than any chains!

This gym rocks! Tried many other gyms in NYC and this one is by far the very best! Try out the sauna too while you're here!
If you watch the show 'Broad City' on Comedy Central, Chalk is the set for the gym Abbi works at.
Steven LuNovember 4, 2014Nice, clean gym. There's always equipment available to use. Men's locker room is also nice, but super cramped.
Great gym. Good people and nice atmosphere. Modern equipment, sauna area and lockers.
They have better gear for weight lifters than the typical commercial gym. Still no bumper plates or deadlift platform though.

3 squat racks, 2 bench press benches (without safeties!), no deadlift platform. Clean. Nice.- Clean gym, no frills membership and no fuss atmosphere.
New management after Maxim is great, they're sweet, logical, accommodating - big up!
There's a secret speakeasy in the back of the men's locker room.
This place is way overpriced with too little equipment. It's down the street from me but I go to Retro which costs literally 1/4 as much with soooo many more cardio/weight options.- Spinning class followed yoga session, makes you feel so great!
