- Chris MuñozFebruary 19, 2013Very friendly and helpful people. Be sure to ask for a tour of the building. Look for the secret room in the basement (the wall opens) The Mayor's Room is really nice too. Old place. Check it out!Upvoted 3 weeks ago
- Scott SpauldingJuly 24, 2013Our first visit this past weekend, great place for dinner, moves to the top of our best spots for dinner in Chicago. Great ambience & service! Bone in filet was excellent, Key lime pie is the best!
- Chicago magazineApril 16, 2012Check out the house specialties for affordable treats such as whole-wheat fettucine carbonara with kale and smoked duck breast. Thick Key lime tart nails the experience. Serious martinis and wines. Read moreUpvoted Oct 16
- George MejiasSeptember 14, 2013Very nice place but quite expensive! I'm from NY so I know expensive. Service great & food high quality that's no reason to get hit $160 for seafood tray for 2, salmon, ravioli. no wine Pleeeeeease!
- Kuo-yu LiangApril 13, 2018You get exactly what you come here for - juciy steaks, white jacket service, old school ambience, all set inside an old firehouse.
- Kendall WaldieMarch 14, 2019Steaks and cocktails are great! Portions are generous and the atmosphere is wonderful.
- Matthew SupertNovember 4, 2023Surprisingly vegetarian and seafood friendly. Also features mocktails on the menu.
- Sarah DavidsonSeptember 2, 2013Food was delicious, service was great, but don't pay $9 + tip for valet. Caddy corner from the restaurant is a lot that charges $7... Which is where they park your car anyways.
- Crain's Chicago BusinessSeptember 2, 2010Open-face blackened tilapia sandwich, served as part of a $16 lunch prix fixe, is a solid hit: moist fish, flavorful crust and a chipotle mayo to tie it all together on sturdy focaccia. Read more
- Jen FoxJuly 8, 2011Easily one of the best meals I've ever had. All food melts in your mouth...salmon, scallops, ribeye. Delicious!
- Amanda ConnorsMarch 24, 2012The lobster bisque is spectacular, it has a thin layer of bread on top that compliments it well!!!
- Roosevelt CollectionOctober 14, 2011Go for brunch and get the spiked sweet tea with the shrimp and zucchini omelette. Both fabulous choices!
- Megan PoirierDecember 23, 2011Surf and Turf Special is incredible! Definitely recommend ordering it when it's on the menu!
- Mr. AndersonJanuary 16, 2011The double pork chop is awesome. It's 25 but worth it. The Caesar salad was better than expected. Good service.
- Terry MarchettiDecember 9, 2010excellent food. seating by the front may be a bit drafty, but worth the cold for the amazing food.
- RyanSeptember 26, 2014A room of twelve people all had options. Yet they all ordered filet mignon. Think on that.
- Michael HoganSeptember 29, 2013Poorly lit (bring a flashlight like our adjacent table). The only seasoning on the food served was charcoal from the grill. Lamb was too fatty to be edible. Calamari was good. Didn't stay 4 dessert.
- This place is decent but super expensive. Seafood is overpriced, and the meatloaf is too salty. Get a couple of beers on tap. Also, don't order the specials.
- Jimmie ManningFebruary 5, 2014If you have a reservation for after nine, they might not to honor it. We showed up and they had already locked up and would not come to the front to let is into the restaurant. Tacky and frustrating.
- Blue cheese crusted rib-eye just melts in your mouth! Paired it with the perfect red: Malbec Reserva
- Alexandra HooverJune 24, 2010Firehouse Ribeye is AMAZING... Anf the Chocolate Mousse cake is just as delicious!
- Frank LizzadroFebruary 17, 2013All around unimpressed with brunch. Valet, service and food below average. No one seems trained.
- Patrick BellingerDecember 30, 2013It was awful. Terrible service took almost 2 hours to get our food, which wasn't very good.
