The biggest casino anywhere is here. If you like to be surrounded by loud people wandering around, then this is your place. Enjoy. Mandalay Bay is in the neighborhood and is much more elegant spot.
I actually found myself peeing alongside Mike Tyson as he walked into one of the restrooms here. I've never won much $ here but it is a great place for gambling, eating, shopping, and people watching.
Best Mongolian beef that I've ever had can be found here. They're known for their soup dumplings which are very good. They are disorganized and slow here but the food is very good (soups and noodles).
The casino is fine here... caters to a younger crowd. The buffet here is very tasty. The cafe' here though is a place with spotty service and spotty quality food as well.
Lobster Macau. Get it. Eighty bucks, but worth it, as is the Gobo Beef and Walnut Prawns. Dim Sum at lunch is outstanding. Wait in line if you have to. It's worth it. Located inside Gold Coast casino.
Damn. They make it easy for you to get lost in here, don't they? The surroundings are beautiful and the high end shops are everywhere with occasional deals to be found.
If you're a Jimmy Buffet fan, then you owe it to yourself to pay this place a visit, with his music blaring and his merchandise everywhere.
Mid-low level casino in terms of cost. The center strip location makes it an ideal spot to stay on the strip. I've stayed here a few times but never seem to win much cash here. I like it here though.
Flamingos, coi, and at one point even penguins are/were here. This is a relatively silent spot amongst the bustle of the neighborhood. Find a spot here for yourself and try to chill with nature.
This is the present site of the former Barbary Coast and later Bill's Gambling Hall. Ah, the memories. It's very elegant now but gone is the no frills restaurant with the best steak and eggs in town.
Walk up to an empty craps table, put your $ down and roll the bones. This is the site of one of the most epic runs I've ever had at a craps table. If others walk up, take your $ and split. Bad mojo.
Food here is excellent-tasty dim sum and great noodles with very flavorful, broth. The service is very fast. The place is in the Paris casino and it's loud in there, but that's part of their schtick.
Friendly service here with Starbucks brewed coffee. After 8pm the doughnuts and pastries are 50% off. They close a hit early though for being inside a casino (Gold Coast)-10 pm... or is it 9? Oops. ??
It's not one of the flashier casinos in Vegas. Locals play here with a free shuttle to the Strip. What makes it worthwhile is Ping Pang Pong, just a great Chinese restaurant (dim sum, Lobster Macau).
It's amazing that I was lucky enough to have this gate for my Savannah flight. It's right at the center of the terminal. Seems like I usually have to walk a mile to get to this flight; not this time!
The hotel is clean and quiet and nothing too fancy at a very reasonable price. It's located in Jacksonville bear all of the spots that were important to me.
There are a lot of nice shops and restaurants here but I'd skip the California Pizza Kitchen joint if I were you... clueless in the kitchen. Opt for P.F. Chang instead.
Here you'll find a cool spot to sit among all the other suckers who wanna lose their money just like you. Grab yourself a beer and bet on the dog who just pooed. He'll probably win. He's lighter now.
The place itself is beautiful inside... very unique with attention to detail and sustainability. The coffee is tasty with a few thousand dollar espresso machines pumpin' out the java.
I did a google search to find nearby authentic Mexican food and this was the top of the list. We were the only gringos in there, that means something... excellent food... very good service.
Nice selection of groceries can be found here although I think Kroger's got better prices.
