- Abdulaziz AlQallaf🇰🇼June 14, 2022Pretty Dissapointing Airport by design however I am not used to airports that are just AIRPORTS though for service this has to be no.1 in europe. 100% Clean 💯
- Jakes CoetzeeJanuary 1, 2014When arriving at passport control, walk around the control booths, there are two on the other side also (and they are normally not busy)
- If you have time to spare and the weather is nice go sit on the outdoor terrace on the first floor.
- Naoki FerrioApril 7, 2018Parking lot is upstairs. Schweizerische Budesbahnen SBB ticket buss counter to travel around the city + access to subways are outside the airport
- Diana R.September 17, 2015provide free tickets from airport to the city, but had to spend a night there waiting for an early morning flight and it was very uncomfortable
- Benjamin CorenAugust 24, 2014Small airport on the Swiss - French border. Don't forget to claim tax back when you leave.
- Arun NandiAugust 2, 2019As mentioned, no access to lounges, shops, anything if you're in transit. You're basically right by the tarmac. Not a good way to spend any amount of time.
- Eddy BrosseDecember 15, 2013Free 1hr wifi with Swisscom. Just request a new access code and get extra hours ... for free. Handy when stranded like .. now!! ;-)
- Seza OnurMay 23, 2014If you are travelling with toddlers, there is a playground on the second floor, after security before passport control
- MRTR O.June 23, 2018Comme ci comme ça kind of airport. But free bus ticket to the city center is perfect.
- rabinJanuary 12, 2013The trick - be early enough to beat the queues, but not so early you're trapped with the dire duty free & restaurant selection
- FienutsNovember 7, 2014Different doors for different flights eg: Easyjet through Door 5 as you enter the airport.
- If you're off to France, don't forget to go through the door on the right in the French Area of the airport
- Whoever invented the conveyer belt system at security needs a new job (but it's funny watching people trying to move all their trays round the corner!)
- Huge queues at security. Allow plenty of time to board your flight.
- You can buy online vouchers on www.gva.ch for security fast lane. 8CHF but it can save your flight in peak times!
- Wellness bar&food very nice place to wait. The waitress is fine...
- Amit BhatSeptember 17, 2015The airport is really small one. The dutyfree shops are super expensive here! you get free wifi for 90 minutes, by providing your GSM number
- Costas LazaridesAugust 16, 2011I've been to many airports. This one is definitely the most ridiculously expensive one. €21 for a coffee, tea, sandwich and small bottle of water. Pack a sandwich!
- The new security check counter is convenient . No need to take out liquids or electronics
- Don't forget to sign the AVAAZ petition to save Data Protection in Geneva :
http://www.avaaz.org/fr/petition/Sauvez_la_protection_des_donnees_et_la_transparence_a_Geneve/ - Nilka GuerreroOctober 17, 2015Tellers should know what can pass through customs and what may not. They made me place four music boxes in my bag. They are delicate and also there was no lock! I hope they make it to my country!
- dinatoskrikosMay 29, 2014Overcrowded and dysfunctional airport with huge queues mainly at the body & hold luggage control. You need to come at least one hour earlier even with nothing to drop off just to be sure. Frustrating.
- Lebriz AraciNovember 23, 2014Simple&easy. Good food. Not very good for shopping, unless you are going to buy expensive watches.
- Arrive on time, security is one of the worst I have seen in Europe. Massive q's and wait time on busy days easily 45-1h. You'll be surprised how unefficient the system is...so not Swiss
- Mark LeeJanuary 28, 2020Airline lounges are on an upper floor, most hidden away at the end of a long corridor. From BA Lounge to B32 allow 20 minutes and this assumes no delay at physical Schengen exit border point.
- Alexei YanuariaAugust 19, 2012At the Migros Supermarket the Chocolate is cheaper here. At the bottom floor by the train station next door.
- If there's a long queue in migration, go around the corner and it might be empty
- GlobeAir +December 17, 2010Looking for a more convenient and exclusive way to travel? Check out GlobeAir - Your Private Jet. Affordable, flexible, convenient travelling. Europe's first Air Taxi service. Business & Leisure. Read more
- It is not prepared to take on more flights. Lines are long, flights delayed for hours due to security check. Horrible, not to mention absolutely unhelpful and rude airport, so called "Angels".
- After the morning Departure rush, things get quiet and stress free.
- Very efficient airport. A lot if security lanes so not much time in line. Could get a bit of a makeover though
- Adrienn HockFebruary 2, 2017not possible to connect to free wifi via sms. tried three different phones, code received but doesnt work. other options are to scan your boarding pass or id at one of the three service points.WTF.
- Ridiculous expensive drinks and food, get you cheap meal at Migros supermarket, open 7/7 at the end of the train station which is located in the airport arrival level
- Craig McManusDecember 16, 2010Aerocar run a quick coach service from Geneva airport to Chambery and Genoble airport, reasonable pricing too e.g. return to Chambery from Geneva is €47 (2010). Easier than the train!
- GVA, despite somewhat tired exterior and interior design, has been adapted and upgraded cleverly. More importantly: brilliant array of connections for a mid sized European city. ✈️👍
- Cheaper car rentals on the French side of the airport if you can find it
- Don’t take an Uber from here! You’d need to walk to Parking 51 which is really far away! (Near Terminal 2). You are better off with public transport or Taxi from the airport.
