Café Intermezzo in Concourse B is a great place to slip away from the airport hubub, have a coffee or beer, and get some work done on your laptop!
If you can, walk to your terminal and check out the great Atlanta history exhibit! Exercise and education!
B FNovember 19, 2013This used to be a smoke free airport. Philip Morris lobbied to have the smoking rooms installed in lead up to the Atlanta Olympic Games. The rooms don't address the health hazards of secondhand smoke.

If you are flying Delta domestic, you could avoid some lines and check in at the international terminal. TSA lines are usually lighter there than the domestic checkin.
Such a massive, busy airport. The train between the terminals is fast. It’s pretty easy to get around
One of the last airports in the US with indoor smoking sections so you don't have to go in/out of security.

When going to baggage claim board the first compartment in the train.. U can get down and be the first one on the escalator so u can climb the stairs. This saves u 5 mins. A lot if u r frequent

Excellent airport in terms of transportation between terminals and selection of food!
Be prepared to walk! And walk.. Plan to have an extra time for the long walk and transportation between terminals and gates. 1h is not enough for international flights. - I may be biased but ATL is one of the most efficient, organized airports. Some employees could use a little extra training - but airport itself is great. Glad I don't have to connect there though
My favorite airport literally in the world. Loads of places to shop and dine here. Waiting for a flight is NO chore!
Arrive early for check in and allow plenty of time to go thru TSA screening and then take the train to your concourse.
The walkway has great art pieces and sculptures; do take time to see them if you can.
As my pilot pointed out, Atlanta is connection capitol. Always people here, but the best all around food is in Terminal E. Something for everyone in one place.

Yeah, that's right FourSquare, I haven't been back here in a while because this is my least favorite airport. Reminds me of that Spring Break trip to Tulane where I went blind (long story)
If you get to the bottom of the escalator and the next train is more than 20 seconds away, and you only have to go to the next terminal over, just walk on the people movers. Otherwise, use the train.
Rebecca RogersSeptember 25, 2010Have to wait & it's not crowded? Push 2 rows of bench seats next to a stationary row & get your nap on. But when the gate gets crowded-let other folks have a seat! You, your feet, & bag only need one!
The later the flight the more likely it is to be delayed. Get in and out of Hartsfield-Jackson as early as you can!
Good connection between terminals and concourses, great variety of restaurants and retail stores.
Free wi-fi. Huge airport, with a free shuttle from the domestic terminal to the international terminal and vice versa.

When you travel, sometimes you make purchases that seem otherwise illogical. Like pay $5 for a sliced apple & side of caramel.
Love the city rail that rolls in-and-out of here. Very convenient if staying in downtown.

Unlike a mean-spirited coffeehouse or a Barnes and Nobles, Delta calls out where their power outlets are to help their customers. Very classy! Thanks Delta.

Emily NMay 13, 2013Nice and efficient. Got through the TSA area very quickly. Love the shuttle tram. Because they were so efficient , got to get home earlier.
One of the busiest airports in the world manages crowds with its staggered terminal layout. Take plenty of time to get from one gate to the other. TSA lines are managed well and never take too long.
