No matter what airline your fly, make sure you're at the gate 45 minutes to an hour prior to departure. Doors close 10 minutes prior to departure. Airplanes don't wait for you, YOU wait for airplanes.

Wilson Favre-DelerueMay 3, 2017AVOID. AT. ALL. COST. Decrepit, dirty, particularly unfriendly TSA staff, horrible traffic access. Favour any of the smaller airports in the region even if that adds driving time.
#United terminal 7 is the nicest at #LAX, which isn't saying much.

Mobile boarding pass was amazing. No lines for check in through continental this way!
Tomato Mozzarella Pizza, Chinois Chk Salad, Tortilla soup. Yummy!
Most workers are slow moving... give yourself some extra time for bag check
The Economy Lot C shuttle drivers are all d-bags who won't wait for running passengers and they're rude to the ones they do pick up.

Jayme JohnsonAugust 7, 2015The best part of this airport is leaving it behind. Horrible floor plans, rude TSA, not enough seating, people laying in the hallways and sprawled across the floors, and not enough restaurants.
Bring your own entertainment if you're flying internationally- there is sweet F-A in the international terminal!
Flying into LAX? Take an escalator up one level to Departures to catch Uber/Lyft/Sidecar drivers that have just dropped someone off.
Terminal 2 is on repair there's nothing much to eat, only sandwiches and soft drinks.
Don't tell your ride to pick you up for at least 45 minutes after you land. LAX had the worst baggage service in the world. LAPD, you wonder why there are so many cars waiting at the curb?!
If you need to park across from terminal 2 there is no entrance to the structure from the upper level. Procced to the lower level and park in structure 2A.

Patrick MorrisseyJune 17, 2014Find the wine bar(s) and camp out. Service is slow as most who work there wish they didn't.
LAX is a massive time suck, so get here early and have some cocktails and Xanax to make the flight a good one!

- Despite the horrible traffic, limited parking, poor vehicle access, it really is a nice airport that pumps out tons of domestic and international routes.
If you're returning a rental car, give yourself additional 45 minute minutes.
United terminal has the LEAST amount of power outlets available to passengers.
Fly United. Their baggage service folks are excellent and go beyond the call of duty
The farthest right SWA security line is the fastest once you are upstairs!

Get a cup of coffee BEFORE you leave the terminal. There's no place out side.
