Wine carafes are affordable and the location is perfect for a little people-watching. #CPL8- This is the West Village vibe that you want. My favorite Italian restaurant in the city. There isn't a thing on the menu that isn't good but the piadina mozzarella are a must for appetizers.

Food is amazing - The best gnocchi I've ever had. Spaghetti and chicken melanaise were both fantastic as well. But it's a hassle - cash only, middle of nowhere, always a wait.

Try the Tagliatelle al ragu Bolognese - Sumptuous homemade noodles, hearty sauce and a great price make this pasta the one to beat.
