- That claim of free wifi?? Its crap! There are 'AlwaysOn' hotspots littered all over the terminal, but they're not free! You have to pay for it! And most definitely not at cappello or piece a pizza!!
- two trip transitting here and they broke my luggage lock in both trip. beware of anything you put in it. You might lose it if you transit here. #Disappointment
- Check in online. Saves you a considerable amount of time.
- Different lines depending on whether or not you require a visa. Don't get in the wrong line, it's a long wait.
- I guess it's the best and biggest airport in Africa and deservedly so.

- Currency exchange offices beside the luggage carousel at the airport charge airline crew more fees on exchange than outside
- Norbert Van Der NeutSeptember 10, 2018Not much good here unfortunately. Slow services and over priced gift shops. The BA galleries lounge is too small and not enough seats when busy
- Make sure your travel agent knows that you need a Visa Waiver before traveling overseas. Could delay check-in by about 45 min.
- You can expect shocking service from passport control. Its like they doing you a favour instead of their job.
- Postcards on ground, stamps on 1st, postbox on ground :) all in central part of terminal.
- The timeous arrival of your luggage is not directly proportionate to the speed you walk to the carousel. Slow down.
- Love the slow lounge! Good food, but wifi could be stronger.
- It is useful to declare your electronics with customs. I've been checked before coming back in. Or perhaps it is coz of way I look?

- Scott🇭🇰🇨🇳🇹🇭🇨🇦July 1, 2013No free wifi. And line up at immigration is chaotic as people from different queues can walk to different immigration desk counters. Watch out for porters who ask to help you with your luggages
- The parking management take 40min to correct their known faulty parking bay ticket system
- Use Long Term Parking for parking longer than 2 days. R70 for day 1 & then R30 for each day thereafter!
- It's the shortest stretch and yet the most expensive. I'm talking about Rhodesfield - OR Tambo International Airport
- Take the Gautrain from Rhodesfield, much cheaper and a stone's throw away
- There's more than one tax refund desk in case you find a long queue at that first one. Just keep walking.
- Check your luggage before leaving the airport, they might have broken it, especially the wheels. Claim the damage at the airport before you leave.

- Kristy AndersonAugust 28, 2013Don't bother buying non-South African chocolate @ Big5 Duty Free if you are flying to Botswana or Namibia. It's not allowed. No free wi-fi in the airport either.
- Very busy, long queues. No good restaurant behind customs or could not find them. Free WiFi for half hour.
- The Slow Lounge is the place to unwind before take off 👍

- El al airlines to Israel security is really tight, get to checking 1h30 minutes earlier to make it easier.
