Steve BullOctober 5, 2013Between planes do not stop to rest between gates A and B between flights. US Airways closed the gate in my face 9 minutes before takeoff. If you are reading this you probably missed your connection.
Shoes shine is among the best in the country. Shakes at Wendy's in D Term awesome. Cantina at C Term sweet if you've got time. TeamTRI
The gift shop next to gate B6 in terminal 4 participates in the Thanks Again program so you can earn mile while you buy your candy bar and magazine!
Be prepared to walk a long distance from the gate to baggage claim. Where comfortable shoes.

Huge line at ticketing. See the sky cabs outside. Your in and out in a few minutes.....don't forget to tip the guys.
Be sure to leave plenty of time for security. The lines can get LONG here.

If possible. Stay inside with the air conditioning. After all its phoenix and for sure it's over 100 degrees.

On any and all escalators and moving sidewalks in the airport: Stand on the right so people who want to walk can pass you safely on the left.

Small airport, but long skirts equal a pat down, ladies!! Surprise to me...but all are friendly here!!!
If you sit near the us airways executive lounge at A5 you can get free wifi!
A hub and major connection point for US Airways and Southwest Airlines, if flying any other airline then you will likely face less delays and cancellations due to not being their hub
In the mood for a burger? Try "Modern Burger" they make a great burger!
If flying US Airways, pay the extra $10 for preferred status. You get to use the much quicker 1st class security line AND board before zone 1.

Jenn HoltSeptember 21, 2013The tsa security check points are pretty unorganized You get in line to put your stuff in the bins, then you have to wait with it to push it through, then you get back in line to be screened. Stupid.
Nice airport... Delta Check-In is quite efficient and so is TSA screening. Starbucks in Terminal 3!
Robert SronceAugust 10, 2015The news stores at D gates did not have premade sandwiches like I'm used to seeing. The options for grab and go are limited.
They've added a Starbucks on the south side of baggage claim. Now you don't have to wait out in the heat/cold for your ride.
Arrive 90 minutes before your flight to check your bags at East Economy parking (Southwest and US Airways only). Bag drop off is so easy.
The Chelsea's kitchen restaurant in terminal 4 is actually very good. It's before security.
All of the gates in terminal 4 connect so if one line is too long at a gate hit another. The walk may be long, but better than standing there!

The coffee at Cartel coffee lab is AMAZING DONT LEAVE WITHOUT TRYING IT !!! Across from gate C12- Super clean And wonderfully fragrant women's bathrooms in US Airways terminal
